    I was counting goals in all competitions, but even of you only count PL goals, 22 is still more than 18, so we are not 'miles ahead' of West Ham.

    Miles ahead is a bit of an overstatement. West Ham are at least on par if not better, as are Leicester. The rest bar the odd player we are probably better.     I don't think anybody is questioning Kamara's undoubted talent or ability, just that he might not hit the ground running as people are expecting, or if he gets injured or suspended we are back to the same midfield 3 of last season, which was quite frankly, crap.

    I think the issue some people have is that Kamara is only 22, and may take time to get used to the league, or get injured/suspended. If that happens we are back to the same midfield as last year. Luiz or Nakamba as #6. We need someone, mid to late 20s, who can play #6 AND #8 if asked, and is better than Luiz and Nakamba.

    Will be tough to find an experienced DM, who knows the league that is prepared to be dropped once Kamara finds his feet. Maybe a loan option? Wijnaldum? Can?

    I just meant there are people suggesting it’s for money, others suggesting it’s game time. Truth is we don’t know, could be either, or both, or neither. We don’t know, and it’s all just guesswork.

    There is no proof he’s asking for money, likewise there is no proof he’s asking for game time.

    Maybe he wasn't the best example, his is mainly injury related. A better example would be Ravel Morrison, Fergie said he was the best talent he'd ever seen. Just because an academy player is highly rated doesn't mean it's guaranteed they'll fulfil that potential.

    I'm sure the majority of young players would love the career of any of those three, but I certainly wouldn't mind if we lost any players with the ability of those three.

    I'm comparing them because they are similar age and are already established internationals playing in the Champions League week in week out, whereas Chuk is still playing U19 for England and can't get into the Villa team. It happens all the time when a youth player who is bigger, stronger and faster than all the kids he plays against, but then can't step up to the same level when playing senior football. I've seen nothing when he's played in the first team that would indicate he will go right to the top. He could go on to be a very good player, but he could also go the way of Rodwell, Barkley or Wilshere, they were as highly rated as Chuk is and amounted to nothing.

    That's exactly what he is. He is miles off the level of Bellingham, Pedri, Gavi etc.

    That seems like the most likely scenario. The club have put their foot down, so it's decision time for Chuk, no more negotiating.
