  1. I wanted Gallardo before we got Gerrard. And I want him now. Tuchel is beyond us, and if we can’t get Poch, then Gallardo will do just fine.
  2. It comes from the notion that our current manager doesn’t have a clue what he’s doing, and that a somewhat competent manager would have us playing better with the current squad. See Newcastle and Brighton for examples.
  3. What I took from the article is that he’d likely get the Fulham game, possible the Brentford game.
  4. If he believed half the stuff he said, he wouldn't even be going to Qatar as a pundit. Same as Neville, talks the talk, but doesn't walk the walk.
  5. At last, a bit of good news. I would imagine he has some sort of release clause.
  6. Hey, that's a point a game. With any luck 38 points will be enough to keep us up this season,
  7. I get that. But I would have thought such as task would be delegated to the CEO, I was under the impression NSWE didn't get directly involved in footballing matters? Anyway, it seems the account has been deleted. I have seen tweets from that account posted before and am skeptical of anything they post.
  8. Who is NS? Nassef Sawiris? Why would he be meeting Emery rather than Purslow or even Lange?
  9. When's his press conference, will it be the same copy and paste answers from last week?
  10. Interesting interview by Newcastle's Sporting Director: Newcastle United: Dan Ashworth says spending £200m a year on players 'unsustainable' - BBC Sport It kind of mirrors the comments made by Purslow about selling to buy. Spending huge sums of money each transfer window isn't sustainable. Seems Newcastle are in the same boat as us despite their rather rich owners,
  11. Makes sense, his stock is still pretty high. It was a pipedream thinking he would come here. He'll be linked to many top jobs after World Cup.
  12. I don't recall many people pointing this out, perhaps a few did. Many people were worried however we wouldn't get him signed permanently.
  13. I remember at the time thinking that Beale could one day manage us. If and when Gerrard fulfilled his promise and jumped ship to his dream job with Liverpool. Beale would then take the reins with us, a seamless transition from one manager to another.
  14. We have literally never beat any of them under Gerrard.
  15. Will Sky mute the booing if we lose?
  16. I think they’ve changed that format now. It now has 28 teams, which they play each other only once.
  17. Leicester fans would probably pay us to take him
  18. He was linked to Barca a few season ago, and they bizarrely went with Koeman. They could be back in for him if the sack Xavi. If not I’d say he’d end up somewhere like Bilbao, Villarreal etc. and will probably win a Euro Cup with one of them.
  19. River and Boca are the two most successful teams. But it’s not as weak as the SPL. He turned River into a force winning the equivalent of the CL twice, and equivalent of the Europa League once.
  20. Except he’s won multiple trophies, and won’t be hired because of his playing career. He’ll be snapped up by someone in Spain or Italy, and he’ll do quite well.
  21. To kickstart Purslow’s vanity project?
  22. Wolves going to rehire Nuno. Genuine question, would anyone be okay if we rehired Smith?
  23. He was on £13m a year at PSG, and £8.5m a year at Spurs. We’d need to come Close to the Spurs salary to tempt him.
  24. A cheeky January loan perhaps. Fun Gallardo fact: He played along with Juan Pablo Angel at River Plate as a player.
