It comes from the notion that our current manager doesn’t have a clue what he’s doing, and that a somewhat competent manager would have us playing better with the current squad. See Newcastle and Brighton for examples.
I get that. But I would have thought such as task would be delegated to the CEO, I was under the impression NSWE didn't get directly involved in footballing matters?
Anyway, it seems the account has been deleted. I have seen tweets from that account posted before and am skeptical of anything they post.
Interesting interview by Newcastle's Sporting Director:
Newcastle United: Dan Ashworth says spending £200m a year on players 'unsustainable' - BBC Sport
It kind of mirrors the comments made by Purslow about selling to buy. Spending huge sums of money each transfer window isn't sustainable. Seems Newcastle are in the same boat as us despite their rather rich owners,
I remember at the time thinking that Beale could one day manage us.
If and when Gerrard fulfilled his promise and jumped ship to his dream job with Liverpool.
Beale would then take the reins with us, a seamless transition from one manager to another.
He was linked to Barca a few season ago, and they bizarrely went with Koeman. They could be back in for him if the sack Xavi.
If not I’d say he’d end up somewhere like Bilbao, Villarreal etc. and will probably win a Euro Cup with one of them.
River and Boca are the two most successful teams. But it’s not as weak as the SPL.
He turned River into a force winning the equivalent of the CL twice, and equivalent of the Europa League once.
Except he’s won multiple trophies, and won’t be hired because of his playing career. He’ll be snapped up by someone in Spain or Italy, and he’ll do quite well.
