I'd like to keep Luiz, but if he goes then Kessie would be the ideal replacement if rumours are true.
A double pivot of Kamara and Kessie is a CL quality midfield.
Just had a read through that thread and the match thread on their forum, they really aren't taking the defeat well.
No mention whatsoever of:
Mac Allister fouling Luiz before their goal
No red card for Dunk. Last Man?
Caicedo hand ball
Selective memory it would appear.
This exactly the kind of signing we should be making. What’s the point in having a Scandinavian Sporting Director, if he doesn’t go straight out and sign the next big Scandinavian wonderkid?
Which is exactly why we’ll see more transfers this January window than we would in previous years. The WC is basically putting these players in the shop window.
First away win in the league this season. But when was actually the last time we came from behind to win? One of the Gerrard trademarks was that once we went behind that was it.
He'd be a good addition to the squad but not really in an area that we need upgraded. A midfield of Kamara, Luiz, Dendoncker and Kessie would be amazing with all four rotating, but not sure we have enough games for that as we aren't in Europe. But we would need to shift Sanson and Nakamba on.
Those are pretty average for PL wages; the problem is they are massive for teams outside of PL.
The highest earner at Strasbourg where Guilbert was on loan at last season, is £25,000 per week. They couldn't afford him unless he took a massive pay cut.
The same will apply for Sanson.
We haven't faced a low block yet under UE. Be interesting to see how we cope with balls over the top, as we were constantly getting undone in the United Cup game by them. Most were caught offside, but it only takes one not to be off-side,
