    It was frustrating watching some nice play last night from Kamara, Luiz and Buendia, only for McGinn to mishit the pass. He shouldn't be starting for me; he has a lot of energy and is good at winning the ball back, bring him on last 20 mins when opposition are tiring.

    We look assured on the ball, Kamara x Luiz is the midfield we’ve needed for ages. But there is absolutely no pressing from Villarreal, we won’t get this much time on the ball in PL.

    I've put together a "realistic" free transfer XI: David Soria Héctor Bellerín - Milan Skriniar - Evan Ndicka - Raphaël Guerreiro Mohamed Elneny - Youri Tielemans Marco Asensio - Daichi Kamada - Wilfried Zaha Marcus Thuram Could definitely see Emery signing Soria on a free. He was his backup keeper with Sevilla when the beat Liverpool in Europa, played all the Europa games.

    There are only about 10 clubs that could afford him and can't see us selling unless Emi asks to leave.

    It would be an incredibly risky market to base your transfer strategy on. True you might find some late bloomer who has somehow slipped through the crack of Europe's top clubs, but chances are they are most of them are just not good enough for top 5 leagues, hence why they're still playing where they are at almost 30. The only players worth risking from them leagues are 18-23 year olds who have potential.

    Why is this not on Villa TV? Only thing I can find online that is showing it is Spanish 'Gol Play'. It might be possible to view it there if you have a VPN but will be in Spanish commentary I'd imagine.

    Linked with Paul Onuachu, a 6ft 7in Nigerian striker who plays for Genk. Never heard of him, so looked him up expecting to find a 22-year-old, highly rated player on the verge of being signed by a club in the top 5. Instead, he's 28 and played all his senior football in Denmark and Belgium. I would question why he's still playing at that level at that age and not been signed by someone better.

    You might be right, but he should be given the chance to prove otherwise under Emery.

    The player will be allowed time off after the world cup, it will be up to Emi if he wants to return sooner.

    Those are his stats when he was with us on loan, we certainly didn't dominate every game.

    I'd actually be more devastated if we lost Emi than I was when we lost Jack. Elite goalkeepers are as rare as hens' teeth.
