I think Qatar WC has been pretty decent footballing wise so far. And this already is happening, it was supposed to happen in 2021 but was postponed because of covid.

The fact that we are constantly linked with strikers, even if they don't amount to anything tells me that we are after a striker as a number one priority. Oliie certainly won't help his cause by missing so many chances.

If we can't get Thuram, what about Moussa Dembele? Had a good season last year with Lyon scoring 22 goals and 5 assists in 36 games, his contract is also running out in June 2023 so would be relatively cheap and is only 26.

Emery does like a more defensive RB and a more progressive LB. At Villarreal he used Juan Foyth at RB, who is not really an attacking full back. Perhaps when Carlos is back Konsa could play there in a similar role.

If we are playing the 442/4222 then Buendia, Kamara, Luiz and Ramsey should be the four as things stand.
