  1. Would have went with Coutinho and Ings up front. Should still have too much for them. Let’s go. 3pts

    Unai Emery

He left Sevilla for the greener pastures of Rome, and ended up going back to Sevilla with his tail tucked between his legs as it didn’t work out. No guarantee it would work here.
  3. Emery should have gone to his house and looked him in the eye.
  4. Obviously, we want to win, but if we lose and play well then, I think most fans would accept that, problem with SG was we lost and played badly most of the time.
  5. Kind of always thought this would be the case. Was kept about to see if he broke into first team, he hasn't so a 6 month loan in Championship for the rest of the season.
  6. No idea yet, serious lack of team news today. They probably don't want to give Wolves any advantage and keep them guessing.
  7. Probably a bit of both. Using Coquellin at left midfield occasionally with Villarreal as an example. How many managers would use a DM on the left wing?
  8. Their match tonight will likely be postponed now. David Gold: West Ham co-chairman dies following short illness - BBC Sport
  9. From a Wolves forum "If we win tonight, which IMO is highly likely, I think we will pull clear of bottom 3 and come March the threat of relegation will be a distant memory"
  10. At Villarreal, Emery would often play left back Alberto Moreno in the left midfield role, which would offer a different dynamic than the right footed midfielders he would normally play there, Moreno would get forward for crosses more rather than cutting in.
  11. Could see him start possibly against Stevenage.
  12. Targett was one of the main benefactors from playing behind and on the same side as Grealish. Jack was a ball magnet and would often have players doubling up on him. The opposition player that was supposed to cover our left back was having to follow Grealish, giving Targett plenty of time and space to play in. Digne would have looked like prime Roberto Carlos playing with Jack.
  13. McGinn has performed well there, my only issue with him on the right is that when Bailey cuts in on his left, McGinn doesn't make runs past him as he is also left footed, Cash might offer something there although i'm not sure Cash is all that great at crossing.
  14. 100%. Would be the perfect game for Coutinho as well. Will require some intricate phases of play to break Wolves done, Watkins/Bailey pace won't cut it. a front two of Ings and Coutinho will though.
  15. It's such a relief knowing we won't be dragged into this.
  16. He was a decent player before joining United, you don't just become bad. Obviously not able to handle the pressure or expectations at United, add to the fact United have been a shitshow for a decade now, would probably do well at the likes of Us, Newcastle or West Ham.

    Chelsea

Most of their players end up leaving for free at the end of their contracts.
  18. Strange. I don't think he'd be the worst signing, but not sure he'd be much of an upgrade on Mings. Add to that his age and wages, probably not worth it. I think if we are going to make a statement CB signing, they need to be in the 21-25 age bracket. Someone in the Botman mould who can work alongside Mings/Carlos and eventually replace them.
  19. Where have these Harry Maguire links come from? We're favourites to sign him apparently.
  20. He talks about beating Wolves in latest interview on the main site, seems like he'll be involved.
  21. The Lampard thread on the Everton forum is a carbon copy of the Gerrard thread here before he was sacked
  22. Another world class players flops as manager episode. I’ve seen this one before.
  23. You now remember, Jesé Rodriguez. Once of Real Madrid, PSG and … Stoke City.
  24. I don’t see Coutinho anywhere other than the front two in your example . There is no way Coutinho could have put the shift that Buendia put it, he doesn’t have the legs for it. Buendia and McGinn were basically playing as wing backs in the back 6, no way Coutinho could have done that. He could take the place of Bailey in the current system, versus a low block. Other than a complete change of shape (which wouldn’t surprise be with Emery), I don’t see where else he fits.
