  1. Seems we are going all out on La Liga targets, makes sense with UE knowing the league inside out. With our financial muscle and PL status, what’s stopping us hoovering up as much talent there as we can, outside the elite clubs of course.
  2. He’s only 21. You make it sound like he’s Theo Walcott
  3. Yeah possibly, he’d be more of a long term replacement for Buendia. Saying that Lee is only 21 himself but looks decent.
  4. I think if we go both of them it’s for different positions. Molerio for the LM Buendia position. And Lee Kang-In for the forward role that Bailey is playing in.
  5. From the highlights video, it looks like what we want from Bailey.
  6. You’re comparing him to midfielders, which I’d assume contains defensive midfielders. So not surprising it’s low. If you select the tab for forwards, you will see his tackling is in the higher percentile (green=good). His passing is average for Forwards.
  7. Anybody not involved that should be? Might give a clue if they'll be in the squad tomorrow
  8. Don't you have to have played a certain % of your country national games as well? Or has that changed? Chances are a good prospect from Ecuador, Paraguay etc.will have senior international appearances even at 20 or 21.
  9. Could he pull off a turkey costume though?
  10. Looks like he is predominantly a LM. Could be a long term replacement for Buendia
  11. Gavi at Barcelona only has 2 goals and 7 assists in 49 La Liga games. Would you describe him as a wonderkid?
  12. He does look like he’ll be more than a standard DM, a 6/8 hybrid. From that video he is fond of travelling with the ball. I can see him and Kamara in the pivot, with Tim license to bomb forward.
  13. Some scouting for you this weekend @messi11, let us know how you get on. Sat - 17:00 - Juventus v Udinese Sun - 15:15 - Rayo Vallecano v Real Betis Sun - 17:30 - Las Palmas v Racing Santander
  14. It would appear Emery knows exactly what he’s looking for. I like the phrase “football encyclopaedia” to describe Emery.
  15. We could have had two Chukwuemeka’s as well
  16. Hopefully the 'next Pedri' is playing in the claret and blue of Aston Villa, rather than the blaugrana of FC Barcelona.
  17. Jose Feenario would sound much better on the team sheet now that you mention it
  18. Apart from Benteke, a load of duds from our relegation team. Gueye was 26 and Bailey 24, and already well-established players with lots of senior appearances under their belts. I'm talking more in the 19-21 bracket.
  19. It's encouraging that we are looking at these types of players from abroad. Often seem we miss the boat on some young players. Apart from Kamara, I can't think of the last time we signed a talented young player from abroad.
  20. Apparently, the release clause for Alberto Moleiro is €30m but will double to €60m if/when they get promoted. Barca had a deal last summer for €10m plus €15m in addons, but they couldn't finance it. Will be interesting to see if he goes for a similar amount, and if we would pay it.
  21. The article doesn't mention McKennie, so not sure any links can be relied upon and probably just his agent sending smoke signals. In the article Emery specifically mentions a striker. Cameron Archer is set to join Middlesbrough on loan and Emery has admitted that another forward could be signed. “We are trying to add some different characteristics of the players to introduce into the squad,” he said. “We now have two strikers in [Ollie] Watkins and Danny Ings who are specifically strikers. If we will add someone, they will be different as a characteristic, as a player."
  22. So, going by Percy's article. Emery wants 3 players in January: LB - Alex Moreno RW/LW - Sarr? Deoulofeu? ST - ?? The fact these journos have all tweeted at practically the same time, means something must be imminent.
