According to Transfermarkt its Almiron to Newcastle for €24.00m. Duran only joined the MLS team in January 2022, debut in February. A short turnaround.

Seems we are linked with Dani Parejo as well. If those links are true, maybe this is no longer happening, or will wait to the summer. Can't see us needing both in January.

You don't be a regular in Arsenal's midfield at the age of 19 if you're not very good. While he may have not been a world beater, to say that he wasn't great in the PL is doing him a massive disservice. Those players you've highlighted had never played outside of France at any decent level, we took a punt on them, and they didn't work out. I have no such fears with Guendouzi, he's proved he can play at this level.

I'm excluding CL experience because he has only played 6 CL games (same as Sanson actually), so very inexperienced in that regard. But Unlike Sanson (who only played in France), Guendouzi has also played in England and Germany. I think that counts for more than a handful of CL appearances. He's also quite well known to Emery, which all in all should account for more than the punt we took on Sanson.

You're comparing a 28-year-old to a 23-year-old? Why? I am not to bothered about CL experience, Guendouzi only made his CL debut this season. But he has played in the PL before and is a current French international, Sanson had none of those when he signed for us.

Guendouzi has over twice the number of senior appearances that Sanson had at the same age. Guendouzi was a PL regular with Arsenal at the age of 19. I don't think the two are comparable.

What's the chances of him staying around and breaking into first team? Happened with Ramsey, he was out on loan for 6 months, then the following season started getting appearances as a sub and then broke into 1st team. With Cash injured, and as good as Young has been he is 37, he was looking tired at the end of the Leeds match, can he maintain that week in week out? KKH could get some minutes coming on for Young.
