You keep moving the goalposts. First you said Newcastle wouldn’t sign a young, raw player. They did (from a league even worse than the MLS). Then you said, but Newcastle score more goals. They don’t (not since Emery came in). Then you mentioned the only 4 games we didn’t outscore the opposition to try and prove a point (2 of which were against big 6 teams). Would it be nice to get a top class striker? Yes. Is it necessary to spend money just for the sake of it? No.

Going out and signing a player after one game is a bit mad don’t you think? Something current Chelsea owner would do. Goals haven’t been an issue under Emery.

You’re right. We couldn’t score enough against a League 2 team, we need a £70m striker immediately.

Neither are we. Since Emery has came in, we’ve scored 11 league goals. In that same period Newcastle have scored 9.

I don’t remember seeing any credible links to Chukwueze, other than Emery managed Villarreal so we might sign a Villarreal player, I could be wrong though.

The last bit means that Kamara would likely be unhappy if we rejected reasonable bids from the likes of Real, Bayern, City etc. Jack proves nothing. Do you think Kamara came here for his love of the Villa? He came here because we offered more money than those in for him. And if a bigger fish comes along offering even more money and the chance to win silverware, he’ll be off.

No, I think rejecting £60m+ bids so we can get £150m wouldn’t not be welcomed by the player.

I doubt Kamara will see it that way. One of the reasons he probably agreed to move here was to use the club as a steppingstone. I'm sure he wouldn't have signed if we plan to hold clubs to ransom over the fee.

Seems to suggest Emery wanted him. If that’s true then it means Emery has been given full control. I would imagine Lange might not be here much longer if that’s the case.

I think he'll definitely be in the squad the rest of the season as backup, especially with Watkins injured and Ings not being the most mobile. With possible loan in the Summer to Spain, Italy or somewhere.

I see him in the deeper striker role that Bailey is currently occupying. This signing would mean good news for Ings, as he relies on chances being created for him and Deulofeu is a creator.

Who knows. Keeping our options open, I guess. Could just be the agent making noise to get other clubs interested. Linked with Deulofeu and Danjuma, it will be one or the other I reckon.

We wouldn't be in for him if he was still out long term, he must be close to returning.

I think if we could get him for £15m or less it would be a good deal. Would give Emery more options up front.

Was thinking the same, it's the kind of fee someone like City, united or Chelsea would pay and then loan them out. But we are short on firepower up front, and if he's half decent he should get plenty of minutes with us.
