    I think it will be a quiet day. I'm not too disappointed. Moreno looks like he'll be decent, and Duran hopefully turns into a good player. I think the starting XI is fine. I'd would have liked us to sign another young winger as backup, Osorio for instance. But maybe Emery think Kadan will be that player. He give Saka is debut at that age, so hopefully we'll see him a few times in the remaining games.

    Think Chelsea want to get that one over the line this window, as UEFA will put an end to their long contract loophole in the summer. I'd rather not do them a favour and sign one of their unwanted players, if it means they don't get Enzo.

    I’d much rather give the youth a place on the bench than some deadwood like Bednarek or Nakamba. Emery is well known for using youth, I’m sure there is 1 or 2 he’s spotted that could be used as backup rather than signing a squad filler on high wages.

    We wouldn't even have contacted the club if we were going to pay his release clause. In Spain if a club is prepared to pay the release clause, the contract is usually bought out by the player, with money being refunded to the player once the deal is made.

    Brighton rejecting £70m bids for Moises Caicedo, makes getting Kamara on a free even more impressive. We really struck gold with this one.

    More than likely. But I'm sure Emery would be open to suggestions from the scouting team, especially as it appears we have failed in our main targets from La Liga (Nico Williams, Luiz Henrique & Lee Kang-In).

    He could be suggested to Emery by Lange and the scouting team and signed off by Emery if he feels he fits the team, same as Duran.

    We didn't pay a fee for Kamara, so sometimes it pays to be patient rather than spunking money on a player like Bissouma.

    Okay, Carlos is maybe another one. But can't think of many more. It's made out that all our transfer are done with the utmost secrecy, when it's only really a few. I remember reading we were interested in Duran during the World Cup, so either November or December.

    Are we? Isn't that exaggerated a bit? The only signings I can remember hearing nothing about beforehand, are Ings and Chambers. Everyone else we knew about.

    Good point. In his first season at Villarreal his net spend was €9.85m. So £15m is not bad for 3 months.
