Well, it's been pretty taxing on their league position, they're 18th. They followed a lot of them easy Thursday night wins with dropping points at the weekend.

Same goes for Mings when he's criticized for making a mistake, if he never made any mistakes, he wouldn't be playing for us. Watkins has shown good improvements under Emery, and has certainly shown he's a capable PL striker good enough for a team pushing for Europe.

I think it would be too soon for Europe with this squad, even with a few quality additions in the summer. If we managed to finish 7th and get into ECL, I think we'd struggle to play well on Thursdays and weekends, it would be better in the long run if we didn't finish in Euro spots this season and made a push for it next season with Emery getting a summer window, full pre-season and full season.

And you know this how? If Villa are in Europe and M'boro are in a relegation scrap, we absolutely do have the draw to sign him back. Unless of course the player and the club have parted on bad terms. Still, even if everything you say is true, what harm is having a buy back clause included in any sale? The player doesn't have to agree to the move, but it wouldn't do any harm having the option, would it?

I don't think he'd leave until he's achieved what he said he wanted to achieve. And anyway, he's contracted for 4 and 1/2 years, so would take him up to the end of 2026-27 season. And unless he has some sort of clause where he can leave for a CL club, Spurs would have to pay more than Chelsea did for Potter. Which ain't happening.

Don't know much about him TBH, other than the goal he scored the other night against Arsenal. But he seems highly rated.

He's been linked with a £105m move to Man Utd, and been linked with Bayern. Don't think he'll be on our shortlist.

Spurs hoping for £100m up front for Kane this summer, no installments. Can't see them getting that. He'll end up leaving on a free in 2024, with Spurs getting nothing

Regardless of who we sign, it's going to be interesting to see how Emery shapes the team over the next couple windows.

Seen it at Villarreal, Juan Foyth is basically a CB who can play RB. I'd say at some point when Carlos is back fit, we'll see a back 4 of Moreno -Mings -Carlos -Konsa.

Not that often but it does happen, usually in Spain mind. Example, Madrid loaned Casemiro to Porto, they activated the option to buy but Madrid had a buy back option which they then activated, and the rest is history. It's more of a safety net, to prevent the Cahill scenario from happening again. We sell a player who's not quite good enough at the minute, and if they turn good after a couple of seasons we buy them back, if they are rubbish, we don't.

I wouldn't mind taking a look at some of Sporting's current crop, Manuel Ugarte for instance, seems to have replaced Palinha and is only 21.

Looks a decent player, but would probably cost a bit as Fulham only signed him in the summer, and they are no threat of relegation so have no reason to sell.

We've only played 27 games, wouldn't it be 26pts ÷ 14 games in charge x 27 games this season = 50pts? Still amazing like.

It’s tight at the bottom, hope we don’t get dragged into a relegation battle. They could have clipped the image and shown from Palace down. Like the time they showed the ‘top 11’ earlier in the season just to have Liverpool in it.

We have a pretty tough run in, only 2 teams below us from the last 11 games. The plus side is we have the opportunity to take points off teams above us.
