I remember who you’re on about, it was Ched Evans I think. The difference is Sheff Utd are not Man Utd, easy to pull sponsorship from a team like them, Man Utd are probably the biggest football brand in the world, second only to Real Madrid.

Are we certain we can replace him with a keeper that is better? He might not be the best, but no half decent keeper is going to come here to be backup. And Emery seemingly likes two keepers on the bench, so even if we managed to get a better 2nd choice keeper, he's surely good enough to be 3rd choice?

Linked with Samuel Chukwueze for around £15m apparently. Emery knows him well; would he be an upgrade on Bailey?

Could see Naglesmann doing a decent job at Spurs, would rather he didn't go there TBH. Surely, he'd have better options just waiting until summer? Madrid, PSG, Chelsea maybe even Liverpool jobs could be available in summer, he'd be at the top of the list for most of them.

I think the point was scoring penalties is less impressive than scoring from open play.

Very strange, they are only 1 point behind Dortmund who they play next, and just knocked PSG out of CL. Could be something dodgy, Spurs forum is all over it though.

Obviously disappointing for him on a personal level, but me not being English I couldn't really care less if he's in the squad (same for Ollie). Mings is a pro, and will hopefully double down on his performances for us can only get better.

Not sure we'd need all 3 of Kudus, Otavio and Gonçalves. Kudus and Gonçalves look like they play similar positions.

And Mings could be even better when Carlos is back. We're slowing becoming a difficult team to beat, apart from the 3 game blip where we conceded 11 goals, we've been pretty solid at the back.

Mourinho won a league and cup double in his second stint at Chelsea, then there is Ancelotti at Madrid. Moyes at West Ham, he's done better in his second stint than he did on his first.

I'm in the same boat, a European run would be great, but not at the expense of league progression. Generally speaking, teams outside of the 'Big 6' don't have the squad depth to compete on both fronts, so they either play weakened teams and get dumped out or play stronger teams and suffer domestically. This project is a marathon, not a sprint.
