Just to complicate matters further, PSG are currently getting beat 1-0 by Lyon. They could be looking a new manager by tomorrow morning as well. If you’re Naglesmann do you choose PSG, Chelsea or even Spurs?
They’ve pulled the trigger because of the CL. The league is basically over for them, but they still have the CL. Didn’t they do that before?
Sack Villas Boas > Hire Di Matteo and win CL
Sack Lampard > Hire Tuchel and win CL
Sack Potter > Hire ????
Chelsea are still a big fish. Owner will spend, Spurs dont. He might think Chelsea are only going through a blip, they did win the CL a couple seasons ago. Spurs have been on a 60 year blip.
Can’t see it. They’ll go for Naglesmann, if he doesn’t want it then Pochettino. They paid a record fee for Potter, they’d have to break that record again to get Emery.
I don’t think Liverpool will be back as everyone seems to think, they have an aging squad and no money as owners look to sell. Unless someone with money buys them, I can see them struggling again. They certainly can’t afford Bellingham as things stand.
I remember reading something about Potter saying it was really difficult organising training, due to the amount of players they have. Complete shit show.
Plenty of talented players don’t make it, what was the name of that one at United? Ravel Morrison? Was supposed to be one of the most talented players United ever produced, terrible attitude. Where is he now?
Think you can only have 5 max per country in CL. If Chelsea won CL, and United won EL and finished 5th, then those two plus top 3 are in CL next season. 4th demoted to EL.
Nothing has changed. They beat us with Rodgers before , was everyone thinking we were going to demolish them if Rodgers was still there?
Emery will adjust.
I'm not so sure, he's had a taste with the big boys (PSG and Arsenal) and they both ended badly. He has excelled at smaller clubs (Sevilla and Villareal), we fall under that category. I think he'll stay here until he feels he's achieved all he can.
Might change Emery’s preparation a bit, more of an unknown now with whoever is taking charge. Leicester forum is a bit more upbeat now, compared to a few hours ago.
