  1. At least we have Lee Hendrie and Gabby flying the flag for us
  2. It helps when the majority of pundits are ex-Liverpool or United players.
  3. I can see us getting another injury or two tomorrow, Newcastle are physical and if the ref against Forest was anything to go by, a few flying Newcastle tackles will probably go unpunished.
  4. And they were talking about a Quad a few months ago. They could end up with the Fizzy drinks Cup and drop out of the top 4
  5. It's decided then, Palace to win all their remaining games and finish on 57 points and qualify for Europe.
  6. Lee Kang-In has over 100 La Liga appearances, he's not some South American teenager with a few senior appearances. I doubt he'd leave a mid-table La Liga team to be sent on loan to a mid-table Portuguese team.

    Chelsea

They're going to get turned over by Brighton, aren't they? Maybe VAR will do is a favour and screw Brighton over again.
  8. I thought he might start with Kamara and Bailey out. Our lack of depth starting to hit us. I wonder would it be worth starting Duran in the right side striker role? If Traore isn't suitable for that position then our only other option is Buendia, who I can't see having a good game up against Dan Burn.
  9. Sounds like a similar player to Buendia.
  10. Eddie Howe and his draw merchants will be playing for a stalemate. Emery has never had a 0-0 in the PL though, so i'll predict a 1-1 with Watkins and Joe Linton scoring.
  11. Muriqi wouldn't be the most exciting signing but would certainly offer something different to Watkins. Could actually be a really effective plan B, with Moreno whipping in crosses for Muriqi to get on the end of. If we were going for a target man type striker would rather have Mitrovic.
  12. Was just looking at some of their player sales under Klopp, and they have made some mugs off other clubs selling them their deadwood. Jordon Ibe > Bournemouth : £15m Benteke > Palace : £27m Sakho > Palace : £24m Coutinho > Barca : £105m Solanke > Bournemouth : £19m Brewster > Sheff Utd : £18m Really should be a warning to clubs about buying deadwood from the 'big 6'
  13. Has any player actually done well since leaving Klopp's Liverpool? They all seemed to have flopped elsewhere.
  14. United have Brighton in the league as well at some point. It's a double-edged sword, on one hand it would be great to catch United, but on the other we don't really want Brighton getting 3 points.
  15. Where would this guy play? in the Bailey role or in one of the wide roles?
  16. It will eventually. You can’t keep selling players. Eventually you’ll sign a few duds. Southampton had a similar model, look at them now.
  17. Not only would it be old Trafford wins 2 years in a row, but we’ve already beat them 3-1 this season so doing the double over them too.
  18. They have only lost 3, and are a tough team. But they have only won 15, which is only 1 more than us. They’ve drew 11 times. They’ve been given an aura of invincibility.
  19. -Some might not fancy Wan-Bissaka, I think he'd be decent under Emery. -Mings and Konsa have only conceded 2 goals in 7 games (one was a penalty), swap either of them for Carlos if you wish. -Watkins is probably the most in form striker in the league behind Haaland. -Again, some may not fancy Nico or know much about him, but he's very highly rated and better than Bailey. Under Emery he would excel.
  20. AWB is not really an attacking type like Moreno, his strength is his defensive actions. If Dalot is first choice, or if United are seemingly going for another RB, then AWB with 12 months left on his contract would be a decent shout.
  21. I was probably being a bit too generous with the old war chest there Let's sacrifice one, say Guendouzi and just play McGinn, still a very good team. Three signings at right-back, left mid and wide striker is not unrealistic. Seen a stat today that Wan-Bissaka has the best record at 1v1 in the PL, would be very good in Emery system as a defensive full back, and is seemingly going to be sold this summer.
  22. What's stopping this team from getting top 4 next season? Martinez Wan-Bissaka - Konsa - Mings - Alex Moreno Luiz --------- Kamara Guendouzi ----------------------------------- Gonçalves Nico Williams ------------ Watkins
  23. Apparently we are at the front of the queue for Goncalves. You know what happens next, player to decline us and Spurs swoop in at the last minute.
  24. Going to be a tough test but going by Newcastle fans on their forum and twitter, they are expecting an easy 3 points, I'm not sure Emery will see it that way. They seem to be basing this on the fact the teams we have beaten are all in the bottom half. Looking at their last 5 games Wolves, Forest, West Ham (all in the bottom half also), and their other two were wins against Man U and Brentford (who we also have beaten). I'm hoping they underestimate us, and Emery gives Howe a footballing lesson.
  25. I'd be delighted, all positions we will be shopping for. 4 great players with a net spend of £0
