Brentford aren't really in the equation anymore. The issue is we have to finish ahead of at least one of Brighton, Liverpool or Spurs. We could be 12 points ahead of Brentford in 8th and it wouldn't matter.

Not surprised they'd sell Walker then, he probably wants out. Don't think he'd struggle to get a club, still a decent player.

And even then, it might not be possible. We would need either Newcastle to get no more than 14 points, or Man Utd to get no more than 11 points from their remaining 8 games.

Will be interesting to see how Emery approaches this game, has he ever faced Frank before? Hopefully he outfoxes him like he did Howe. A quick read of the Brentford forum, most are hoping for 3 at the back. I think that would suit us, they'd vacate the midfield to us, and Watkins will be a handful.

I think we'll need about 64 points to get Europe. Can't really afford more than 1 defeat in the next 7. 4 wins, 2 draws and 1 defeat would get us over the line, I think.

The problem with that is if they win the FA Cup and finish 8th, and we finish 7th then we lose out on Europe Or even if the win the FA Cup and finish 7th, and we finish 6th, they get Europa League and we get Europa Conference

By 5pm on Saturday if we beat Brentford we would be level on points with Spurs (only 6th on goal difference), or we could be 7th if Liverpool beat Forest and we lose. Going to be crazy ride no matter what happens.

Chelsea are terrible though I think Liverpool will finish ahead of us. We need to overtake and stay ahead of Spurs, and up Brighton don't overtake us. Liverpool - 5th Us - 6th Brighton or Spurs - 7th

Yeah, very strange link if true, not what we need for RB. Probably just his agent using us to tempt United or Spurs or someone to go for him.

Yep, Enrique + Boehly would be a disaster. Let's hope it happens. The good thing is us and Newcastle have put serious pressure on Spurs and Chelsea, they basically have to get their next manager appointment 100% perfect.

Liverpool have been bad though, by their own high standards, otherwise they wouldn't be in 8th place. Prior to last night, Liverpool had failed to score in 6 away games against bottom half teams.

They are interested in Luis Enrique for the manager position. Don't really rate him, think he'd be bang average for them, the only decent job he's done was at Barca and he had the most elite front three in the history of football.

Pep takes these notions of just getting rid of players even if they are still good, Cancelo, Sterling, Sane to name a few. Also, didn't he come out and say something about Walker recently that he isn't capable of playing a certain role within his team, I'm nearly sure I read something like that?

It's handy when the opposition don't want to make any saves, Liverpool scored 6 goals with 7 shots on target. They aren't going to get that lucky every game, it's not "sustainable"

Everyone is going mad for Trent in a new hybrid inverted midfield role. I’m pretty sure everyone for the last couple seasons has been saying he should be playing in midfield because he’s absolutely shit at defending.

They were absolutely dreadful against Bournemouth. Their defence looked scared of the ball. I think we’ll rip them apart.

It’s hard to see where they will drop a lot of points. Even if we beat them, we pretty much need to be flawless the other 6 games just to stay ahead of them. We need to catch Spurs.
