I thought it was deferred until next season? Even if it is reversed again, they may still win the Europa League, gaining entry to CL that way. And even if they aren't in Europe at all next season, the amount of CL teams that potentially need a striker (Man U, Bayern, PSG, Real), I can't see him picking us, this is Joao Felix all over again.

Exactly, every team can come up with £0. So, you have more competition for his signature, as opposed to only a select few teams that can afford £100m, so less competition for his signature.

Not sure where the Vlahovic rumours have come from but can't see him leaving Juve for us. With their points deduction overturned they are back in the top 4, I don't see a highly rated player leaving CL football.

Right, so it should have been even more difficult to sign Kamara then.

They are a very good side, but I don't think they'll get any wins from City, Arsenal and Newcastle. So, if they manage to get a draw against one of them, the difference between people predictions of them only getting 2 points from those 4 is a 99th minute winning penalty against United.

Because Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal and Newcastle are the four best teams in the league, that's why. It's not inconceivable to think they could have had no wins in those four games, they were a 99th minute penalty away from only getting a point last night.

Liverpool should have dropped 6 points in last three games. Dodgy penalty tonight, Jota shouldn’t have been on the pitch to score a winner, West Ham have blatant hand ball penalty denied. They should have 53 points instead of 59. The powers that be don’t want them to lose.

I've been thinking this as well, this is more than just us putting together a good run and finishing in a respectable spot. The entire club infrastructure from top to bottom is being overhauled, and with an elite manager finally, we are getting the results on the pitch as well. This feels like what happened to Spurs when they jumped from a mid-table hopeful to a genuine CL team.

Not really sure what that would prove. I mean it's not like he discovered Lewandowski, everybody knows he's one of the best strikers in the world, he wanted to play for Barca, he would have ended up there regardless if Alemany was at the club or not.

From what I’ve read about him he seems to be more the negotiator of the deals, rather than the one who identifies or scouts the player. Didn’t we hire a top Spanish scout recently?

I know nothing about this guy, but it sounds like a big coup. But, hasn’t Barca’s last few transfer windows been a bit of a shambles? Loads of free transfers on ridiculous wages, some couldn’t even be registered for ages, and now looking half of them to take pay cuts or leave. Doesn’t exactly fill me with confidence.

No point in worrying about this lads, if we finish in the Europe spots happy days, if we don’t then we don’t, at least we’ll know where we “slipped” up. We’ll be up there next season no matter what.
