  1. That would be an absolutely incredible window, but it simply will not happen. Guendouzi is probable, maybe even Ferran Torres. The other won't happen.
  2. A left sided CB no older than 24 is needed, better getting him in now rather then when Mings declines or leaves.
  3. I can't imagine we'd be the only ones in for him at that price point. United, Arsenal, Newcastle, an CL team really that needs a defender.
  4. We will win this, I'm certain. Unai will not be outdone by Ryan **** Mason. The recent games we've dropped points in were all away games, we haven't lost at home since Arsenal in Feb.
  5. A wide forward to replace Baily/Bert has to be top of the shopping list this summer, those two are nowhere near the standard we need.
  6. I was too, but not after they shipped 5 at home to Everton
  7. I’ve said before, we just need to be within touching distance of Brighton on final day. We need to beat Spurs this weekend, Brighton will lose to Arsenal, they will also get beat by Newcastle midweek. We will probably lose to Liverpool, while Brighton will beat Southampton. Brighton will then get beat by Man City. Leaving us on 57 and Brighton on 58, with it all to play for in the final game.

    Liverpool

Liverpool still in with a shot at 4th, be hilarious if they leapfrogged United
  9. All games are televised… somewhere.
  10. It won’t. But would have been nice for some Euro footy on a Thursday night.
  11. Imagine where we’d be in the league if we hadn’t gave every other team a 13 game head start.
  12. And there was people in the transfer thread saying we shouldn’t buy Vlahovic as it would upset Ollie, like when buying Ings did
  13. Right, but we’re talking about two players who already play CL football AND are also on massive money already. There is an Italian team guaranteed to be in the CL final, so I would say yes?
  14. Why then, are PL teams desperate to finish in top 4? If CL meant nothing and was diminishing, then Liverpool will probably be delighted with their 5th place finish. Its also different PL teams poaching players from other leagues in Europe, but it’s less likely they do that with players like Vlahovic and Torres as they are already at elite teams.
  15. A change in their recruitment policy it would seem. Probably thinking they will need more established players if they are to compete in the top half. This is where things can backfire for selling clubs if the player flops, Brighton can afford a £5m flop, but not a £30m one.
  16. One game at a time is all we can do. If we fall short, we fall short. We've given the teams above us a massive head start, yet we're still in with a shout, 8th would still be a fantastic finish.
  17. They have two games in hand not three, and those games are away to Newcastle and home to Man City, which they could very well come away with no points from. We then only have to match their results in the other 3 games, and we'll be within touching distance of them when we meet on the final day.
  18. We still have to play Spurs and Brighton, we can still finish above both of them.
  19. They did, Milan couldn't match Newcastle's wages, same way Atletico couldn't match us for Kamara. Outside the top 4 and the really elite players, it has no bearing if you finish 6th or 12th. The Premier League itself is the attraction.
  20. I don't think Ferran Torres or Vlahovic is going to decide not to come here if we don't finish in the illustrious Europe Conference.
  21. I wouldn't listen to the Vlahovic rumours, he's the new Joao Felix. Ferran Torres on the other hand sounds interesting, cheaper, and can play in the wider area beside Watkins, an upgrade on Bailey for sure.
  22. I think it's because 4 years ago we were in the Championship, so talk of signing CL players who aren't past it, still seems a bit un-realistic. If we finish top 4 in the next couple of seasons, then attitudes towards that would almost definitely change.
  23. All is still to play for, Brighton is not yet out of the picture that they can't be caught. If we assume they lose their two games in hand against Newcastle and City, then we only have to match their results in the other 3 games. We need 6 points from Wolves, Spurs and Liverpool, and if Brighton pick up no more than 6 points from Everton, Arsenal and Southampton. Then we will be on 60 points and Brighton 61, with a final play-off match between us to decided who finishes above who.
