You'd think so, I can't imagine Pep will want Brentford doing the double over them even though they have nothing to play for.
It doesn't matter anyway as we will beat Brighton.
Might be something they have to look at now, but as you say we would have to shift Digne first. We can't be in a position where we have a New LB, Moreno and Digne all available
Also, Digne might feel he has a shot now at the first team again, and as he's on a decent wage not feel like moving.
Can't see us buying another left back, unless it's a younger player. Too many other areas to improve. Digne will just have to stay about until January, he did okay at Liverpool anyway.
I think, the main argument against Europa Conference qualification is that if we are not in Europe next season and playing Europa games on Thursdays, we would, have a realistic opportunity to push for top 4 as Newcastle have this season.
He might not start as much in the PL if we sign an upgrade, but he'll be needed in Europe and Cups with squad rotations. He's more than good enough to be a back-up.
Been rejected by a few now, are we aiming too big too soon? Maybe we need a few seasons in Europa and close top 4 pushes before the likes of Asensio/Joao Felix will come here.
