I think the only way to stop it would be to ban multi-club ownership (which we are now involved with). I'm surprised nobody has done this kind of thing sooner to get around FFP. It kind of makes sense now why Chelsea was spending so much money, we all thought they would be screwed by FFP, but they obviously knew they could offload their deadwood to counter it.

My issue with the Saudi league isn’t that it’s going to become the best league in the world, it’s that the Saudi owned clubs in Europe are using it to bypass FFP. Uefa will need a massive overhaul of FFP as this loophole is being exploited.

Neves is a strange one, but that's why I said elite, he isn't. You will get some younger players in their prime going for big bucks, but they are just mercenaries going for the ££. A league filled with players only there for a pay day will not be a success.

It'll only be a problem if they start attracting elite players in their prime. So far, they are only attracting players the wrong side of 35. Unless they start signing players like Mbappe or Haaland, I wouldn't worry. In fact, more PL team will start using them as a way to shift older high earners they don't want.

Chelsea have proved this season that money isn't enough, you need a proper setup. Take City for example, they have more than just money, they have an unbelievable football setup from management all the way down to youth coaches. We are putting a similar setup in place, which will be a lot more effective than just throwing money at it.

Has to be one of our worst ever signings, just for the amount paid for him. Obviously, the injury had a big part in that but can't think of many worse signings.

Not necessarily easy to find talent, just that a person from that region should have some advantages due to connections. Of course all the top clubs will have scouts there, so should we. £10-15m is still relatively cheap for a PL team, we signed Duran for similar. Better than paying £40m for them when they move to Bundesliga or Serie A. Wasn’t Lange’s time at Copenhagen based on data and finding diamonds in the rough and selling them for profit?
