  1. Same. He can play in the cups/euro and cameo appearances in the league. Still young enough for a loan in the next season or two if he needs it.
  2. Isn't Dendocker supposed to be going? Still fairly strong in that area with Kamara, Luiz, Tielemans and McGinn but maybe Emery feels we need a bit more.
  3. Only £52m? How will he get by? He'll be back to Europe in a shot when Madrid come calling. So would Ronaldo for that matter, and all the others.
  4. But he would be going for a payday, supposedly a 1 year deal. Then he signs for Madrid next summer.
  5. Only seen the highlights, how'd he do? Could we see him in the Cups and Europe this season?
  6. Yep, another RB is now surely the number 1 priority. Either an upgrade on Cash, or a young player as backup who eventually replaces Cash.
  7. If buying clubs are smart, they'll leave it as late as possible in the window. Less likely Spurs can find a replacement that way.
  8. Another loan. His final chance to impress if we want a fee for him next summer. Are Nice not one of the richer teams in Ligue Un?
  9. I'd be surprised if United don't bid for him.
  10. One good match isn't going to change the doubters' minds. Buendia's problem isn't ability, it's consistency. If he plays like that 7 or 8 games in a row, then people might stop writing him off.
  11. Watford and Udinese have traded over 60 players, Leipzig and Salzburg have traded 20. Newcastle didn’t come up with this.
  12. If I was Mbappe, I’d turn down all attempts of them trying to sell him this summer, collect €100m next summer and join Madrid on a free.
  13. Be funny if that happens, PSG essentially paying him €100m to join Real Madrid for free
  14. They can have both. Buy one get one free.
  15. Isn't he a Mendes client? If he feels the Villa are beneath him, but nobody else wants him then he'll probably end up in Saudi Arabia.
  16. I have to disagree with you on this one @TRO Some forwards are there to compliment a partner. Bergkamp at Arsenal as an example, he scored single figures some seasons, he was there to support Henry, who did all the scoring.
  17. Plays for Rennes. I've not seen him play much, but he's very highly rated. Still a bit of a diamond in the rough, but there is potentially a world class player in there, if we believe the hype. Seems very injury prone, would be a major concern were he to sign.
  18. No idea, it was initially thought he was a backup option to Diaby. But it's still floating about we are interested. Could be bollocks though.
  19. I'll let Emery decide what profile we need as a second forward. But from what I've seen, Diaby is just that, a second forward. He's not a winger, no more than Salah and Saka are wingers, they operate on the right flank and cut in on their left to occupy the central positions. Diaby will be doing this for us.
  20. Not sure I'd be keen on Felix now, regardless of ability, he's put himself in a very awkward position with those Barca comments. If we did sign him, what's to stop him downing tools in a couple of years to try and force a move somewhere else.
  21. Haven't seen it mentioned in the thread, but Diaby was a youth player at PSG when Emery was in charge, the Don will already be quite familiar with him.
