That's what's been suggested by most on here, but I think if Emery was going to entertain the idea of playing Konsa at RB, we would have seen in by now. Cash played the whole game at RB vs Newcastle, the only one not to be subbed. I think that says it all in what Emery thinks of Konsa at RB.
Problem is there is a 50% sell on fee with Barca for Coutinho, so if we sell him we'll likely be taking a hit in FFP terms.
Unless we are in for Ferran Torres and Monchi can re-negotiate the sell on fee as part of the deal.
Monchi signed Carlos Bacca and Kevin Gamiero for less than £10m each. We don’t have to blow £70m+ on a striker or go for a complete untested 19 year old. We can trust that we have one of the best in the business in Monchi, and that he’ll find us the players we need.
His first league game is against Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr.
Be interesting to see what tactics he’s using. Full back pushed high, totally exposed in the middle.
Something I think Emery would appreciate. Seems to have good defensive stats for a forward players. He’d be useful in the front press winning the ball back.
In terms of midfield, we have Luiz, McGinn, Tielemans and Ramsey in CM, for DM we have Kamara, Dendocnker and Chambers as backup. If Dendoncker leaves we're suddenly looking quite short at DM, and with Kamara's injury record we could do with another quality DM like Amrabat.
The PL is less forgiving than Serie A, will take him a bit to get used to the pace of the league, he wasn't great in his first season at Milan from what I can remember.
