You only have to take a look at the big 6 and see they don't have many academy players in their starting XIs, only the truly elite ones like Rashford, Saka and Foden make it. The reality is probably about 90% of the academy players will be released or sold to fund the first team. Just how it is. We have to get better at selling them as usually we just loan them out until they are released on a free.

That left side will be even more critical against Newcastle as Almiron and Trippier on that side will cause problems. If we go Digne or Pau we need someone who'll track back to help out as they'll be exposed, if Emi is injured then for me it should be Philogene.

Unless there is a change of shape, I don't see Tielemans playing in that LM role and putting in the defensive shift that would be required. I can see him going with Philogene, Bailey looked terrible there against Valencia.
