It sounds like the player wants to come here. But the loan deal with Gala is what is holding it up, hopefully something is sorted soon. A signing like this would be a real lift after the past week.

It's definitely an issue in some leagues where talented players are targeted for simply being better. I could be wrong but don't recall this happening a lot in the PL. He could be better suited to this league because of that.

Something I would like to see also. We've done well in signing academy players in the 16-17 age bracket, but they are a few years away from being introduced to first team football. Duran is the only recent example of this from us. Whereas in the past season or two Brighton have Enciso, Adringa and Buonanotte all making an impact on the first team, as well as Colwill on loan who wasn't much older. Hopefully with Monchi on board we can see some signings like this to supplement the first team.

Am I the only one that didn't think he did that badly on Saturday under the circumstances? It also took Moreno a few games to get going, he also came on for his debut sooner than probably expected as Digne got injured mid game. I think in a few weeks, once Pau get's up to speed with the league, he's going to have fans of other clubs question why their team didn't sign him.

Don't we have a couple of decent youth prospects at CB in the academy? Not saying we should be starting them in games, but a few sub appearances to break them and we might just find a gem.

Pau/Carlos, Pau/Konsa or Carlos/Konsa. With Chambers to come on as sub to see a game out if one of them need subbed. Kamara also used to be a centre back so could play there if need be. We had people on here asking why were even signing Pau as they felt we had enough centre backs at the club.
