Luiz was probably our best player today, certainly one of the few that comes away from that game with little criticism. You seem to ignore all his performances last season in the wins against United, Brighton x2, Spurs x2, Newcastle and the draw with Liverpool. I suppose it’s because they don’t suit your narrative.

Be interesting to see how they cope with CL football, their squad really has no depth. I know we have Euro football too, but our games are piss easy compared to theirs. We can rest a lot of players on Thursdays. bottom of their group and sitting midtable come December would be interesting

Pity we couldn’t have got a draw against Newcastle even on the first day. Hopefully we can put them to the sword again at Villa Park. Howe might not be there if they have a disastrous CL.
