  1. They literally brought FFP in to keep City off the top table. They’ll throw the book at them. Everything about City is artificial; fan base, revenue, club stature, it’s all artificially inflated. If City ceased to exist, nobody would give a **** in a years time. Once your Pep’s, De Bruyne’s and Haaland’s go elsewhere, nobody will care.
  2. City and Everton’s FFP/PSR breach is not the same. Everton simply spent more than they were allowed to. City were cooking the books to make it look like they could spend more, a far more serious and complex. And City need to be proven guilty, which takes a lot longer.
  3. Imagine, if you will somebody murdered 1 person and was sent to jail. Now, imagine someone else murdered 115 people and is walking free to do as they please still awaiting trail because of how complex it is.
  4. Are City that important to the PL? United, Liverpool, Arsenal and probably even Chelsea have much bigger fan bases. Kicking one of them out would damage the “PL Brand”, kicking City out might sting for a season or two, but they’d quickly be forgotten IMO.
  5. We’re slight favourites with the bookies ahead of Spurs at the minute. A lot can change in a few weeks though. Spurs attack is unreal, but their defence is chaotic, and that is what will hopefully cost them. They can’t maintain 100mph football the rest of the season.
  6. That’s actually quite tall for a full back
  7. How did Spurs revenue increase so dramatically compared to the rest of the league? Looking at their qualification for CL over past 14 seasons, they've only actually been in it 6 out of those 14 seasons. From the 11-12 to 15-16 seasons, they weren't in the CL at all, being in Europa for those 5 seasons. If we can become a Europa mainstay under Unai, with some seasons getting CL qualification, what's stopping us from reaching the commercial heights of Spurs?
  8. I was referring more to the fact people complain when Brighton sign an unknown wonderkid who then goes onto to be a PL regular and then sell him for £100m: "wHy dOn'T wE eVeR sIgN pLaYeRs LiKe tHaT?" And when we do sign someone like that (Duran), they get dogs abuse for not being good enough.
  9. The Monchi method. Summer: recruit for 1st team Winter : recruit for future + clear deadwood Rinse.repeat.
  10. Would be a good loan move to get some PL experience at a mid-table PL club
  11. Are we doing a Brighton now like everybody wanted? Will people still be annoyed when these players aren't PL ready for another couple of seasons? Judging by the responses in the Duran thread...
  12. Only 3 goal involvements in last 7 league games is definitely a concern, hopefully it's just a bad patch.
  13. I reckon he'll be sold this window, FFP gonna catch some teams out.
  14. We didn’t play great, but the ref cost us three points. Any half decent ref would have give Diaby a pen, and sent Tarkowski off, you can be sure City, Liverpool or Arsenal would have got one.
  15. Sounds like he’s going to be a top level footballer
  16. Yeah, we should aspire to get to the level of Sunderland or Leeds before we get our own show.
  17. If real life is anything like my Football Manager saves, this Serbian newgen is going to be great
  18. Can’t say I’ve watched much Serbian football, but seems to have cemented the RB position for Red Star, including 4 CL appearances. Not bad for someone who’s just turned 18.
  19. One for the future, hopefully we give him more time than some of the fan base are giving Duran
  20. Next 3: Us: Newcastle (H), Sheff Utd (A), Man Utd (H) Spurs: Brentford (H), Everton (A), Brighton (H) Who’s getting more points?
  21. Exactly, Newcastle drew 14 times last season, their him record was superb. They got top 4 with 19 wins. If we get 20 wins we’re in with a shout, we have 13 so far.
