I think it was used quite well in the Porto/Roma game but I think I would've let the ref have a look with the "trip" by porto right at the end. Don't think that it would've been called a pen but I felt that it was close enough. I think the main takeaway from the addition of VAR is that handball's like PSG's aren't being called real time and only being caught by VAR. This brings around a different standard with refs w/o VAR and it gets confusing going back and forth.

big decision today and for me thats the wrong one. I think VAR is a step in the right direction, but with it a ref can call pretty much any handball.

Didn't watch most of the Asian Cup, but pretty intrigued by the way Qatar pretty much steamrolled thru it. Will be interesting to see how their squad does in the Copa America this summer. Just reading a bit into their ASPIRE academy and have been pretty impressed with that (But that's a whole different story).

Just starting out a new save with only the US loaded (Feb 2018). Was able to get the Spain U-19 job right off the bat and have been unbeaten up until now (June 2019). Was able to use a few newgens (in the American youth/collegiate system) in the squad (BTW those players are always free to sign if you need/want cheap newgens to fill out a squad). Now the U-19 Championship is coming up and I'm apparently unable to register any players for this competition so maybe a bug? Also adding Poland & maybe Italy to the database — was going to at the beginning of the save but the earliest I could add the new league was in 2019. Hopefully I will have a club job soon!

Does anyone exploit the American/Canadian regen system? It seems so easy to do considering all the regens would be very cheap/free.

Just started a new villa career on this with the default rosters (eg no loans)... Has anyone else found it much easier to sell players in this version than previous ones? I put up pretty much half the squad and have been getting offers for pretty much all of them. Also anyone have any good youngish players to get? Already bought Davies from Vancouver and Durkin from DCU. How do y'all do the youth scouting networks? Been meaning to set mine up but haven't gotten around to it.
