  1. iirc he was the one who broke the McGinn story.
  2. Also read somewhere that it could have also been to help them avoid paying a sell on to Plymouth as well.
  3. I have a few relatives whom are avid fans of him and keep trying to sway me on voting for him. Its absolute bonkers. I also live closeish to DC, and have family up in rural PA. Went to visit them the other week and for every Biden sign I saw (about 3 or 4), there were at least 25 Trump signs/flags/stickers.
  4. still feel like we would be a bit short up top. Also think that there are other keepers out there that would represent better value for money than Reina.
  5. My take on our center back situation. I wouldn't turn down an opportunity to for sure upgrade at the back. But but that token, upgrading there would mean that we are spending probably £25M + on a new CB, which in turn likely takes away some of our transfer budget for areas of more need (striker, winger, midfield). Oh and signing Tuanzebe would not be an upgrade, that would be a sideways move and IMO a waste of money. We don't need another body in the position just for the sake of it.
  6. Fair enough, I definitely think that Milot moving here could pose some problems (but he will have his mate Nakamba here). I don't know that I would say that someone who's played (and been 'proven') at a higher level would be more of a gamble. FWIW I think both would be gambles but one we would need to take.
  7. That would be an interesting link. Thought he was superb filling in for Leno when he got injured.
  8. How is Benrahma less of a gamble than Rashica?
  9. I'd be very very pleased with McKennie — I'd love to see another American here plus it might be a similar strategy in buying Trez, Nakamba, Samatta where we immediately gained followers from their respective nations. But watching several of Schalke's games since the restart, he had been head and shoulders above most of his teammates in the games. Feels like it would be a perfect fit for us.
  10. Just saw their schedule... they have City/Liverpool/United in a back to back to back in April. Absolutely insane
  11. Added to the fact that they only have one fit senior center back.
  12. Anyone know anything about the Miranchuk twins? Looks like they are both attacking mids that can play in the middle or out wide. They looked pretty good in a few games that I saw highlights of. Not sure if they'd be realistic but according to TransferMarkt both of their contracts end in 2021 so who knows.
  13. I've been posting a bit on grand old team and a good majority of them absolutely hate him to say the least
  14. I said this when they played Barca — but this Bayern team is legitimately up there with some of the greatest teams I've seen play.
  15. Serge Gnabry. Wasn't good enough for West Bromwich however
  16. The interesting thing is that it feels like almost all the non top 6 sides are being linked to the same players. Watkins, Benrahma, Ramsdale, Eze, etc.
  17. Away to Citeh or Liverpool first please. Get them out of the way real fast
  18. I don't disagree, I think we need to focus on bringing in quality additions to supplement the core of the squad right now. My post was just a reply to a hypothetical either Watkins or Benrahma question above.
  19. Watkins. I think that Benrahma is a better player for his main position, but Watkins has versatility in his positions. Which would also lead me to thinking we couldn't just sign him only as a striker — we'd sign another striker as well, where as if we signed Benrahma he would probably be our main winger addition.
  20. I wouldn't be opposed to getting an upgrade there, but I would be opposed to diverting resources there where there are other areas of the squad we need to invest more heavily in.
  21. Maxi Gomez anyone? Thought I might've read something a few weeks ago here. I know he was linked with us last summer and ended up with Valencia. Now looks like they're in a financial crisis and are open to offers for all of their players. Could we swoop back in for him?
  22. Just my thought, but I would really like if we got Liverpool or City away to start off the season. Would be fantastic to get one (or both) of those matches out of the way early on in the season
