    A bit of hoofball is always welcome in my book.. I mean every team does it from time to time as you have to change it up or you become predictable. I don't think people will mind a bit of hoofball if it lands on his head and in the goal a fair bit. Dont get me wrong mate, i would love it if Carroll signed as he's a very good player, and i agree that a change of tactic is good, i just wouldnt want it to be a primary form of attack. Saying that, with Bent, Holman, N'Zogbia and Ireland buzzing round him and working off him, im sure it would creat plenty of chances.

    Have i missed something? Are we in the hunt to sign Andy Carroll? Fingers crossed we are, on the flip side, hoof ball may start to creep in with him in the team.

    But do you not think he would be rather effective under a manager who likes his players crossing the half way line in numbers? A point well made PieBoy...and the reason why im looking forward to next season and the impact that Stephen Ireland could have.

    But you missing the point that he was never really played in his natural position last year. Instead he was asked to charge round the pitch trying to break up play...thats not what Stephen Ireland is best at. He would waste all his energy chasing back when we needed his energy at the other end to make runs into the box. Someone like KEA behind him doing the dirty work and Ireland being allowed to roam around and create could be a lethal combination. He certainly grafted last year and looked like he was bothered.

    No probably about it...far and away our best footballer. Darren Bent said as much in an interview last week i think it was. Yeah...lets sell our most gifted player....great idea! :bonk:

    Why ?? Personally I'd be doing cartwheels if he went. He epitomises all that is wrong with the modern day game. Dont think he's a PL type person anyway. Why does he??? :? I genuinely cant understand where this perception of him comes from?
