I thought about this the other day. So if Fernando Torres has a baby in this country (which he has), that child is English, will be schooled in England and could represent England at sport. But as he/she has Spanish parents but are brought up in England, does that make the child more English or Spanish?
But at the same time, if Torres had a baby today, then moved back to Spain tomorrow and the child lived his whole life there, would he be English purely because he was born here, even though he'd only spent 1 day of his entire life in the country?
Why would anyone take a 1 day old baby on a plane? :winkold:
I know what your saying, and i do agree. Therefore Torres's little'un will be English assuming he stays in the country for another 7/8 years? As he/she will not really experience Spanish culture.
