  1. Havnt got a processor, not sure i would ever use it as its just as easy to slice the veg etc. I am on the look out for a good chefs knife. If you're happy to chop the veg, I don't see the attraction of a soup maker. From what I can see, it's just a less controllable way to saute a small volume of things combined with a blender. I should think you'd be better off just making it in a saucepan and blending it, either with a stick blender (which I find gives perfectly smooth blends) or a jug blender if you really want something more high-powered. That would be cheaper, you could have something which would do things like smoothies as well, and you're not limited to whatever volume will fit the soup maker, because you could make a big pan full and blend it in stages. Or else go the whole hog and get a Thermomix... I meant when chopping leeks, slicing pototato's for dauphinoise potatos, dicing onion, peppers etc. im happy using a knife and chopping board so wouldnt really benefit from a procesor. So you think just chopping up the veg etc. and using a stick blender to blend? Also where to get a good quality chefs knife?
  2. Alfie doesn't count for an Alfa does it? Yes :x :winkold:

  4. They dont get it fine enough. Your method is fine if you want a thick veg soup with lumps of carrot etc. in it.
  5. More effort than they're worth Wiggy... I've got one at home but it spends most of the day watching Jeremy Kyle.
  6. still there as well. my lad is 13 months now, probably got about half his teeth. We generally go with, get him out of bed, give him some calpol, sit in a darkened room with some late night cartoons on. He'll pretty much stop crying straight away, give him half an hour for the calpol to kick in. Dont really want him to get used to the cartoon thing but he'll scream for 4-5 hours if not. When hes not teething he sleeps really well, slept til about half 7 this morning. Cheltenham, did/does your lad go through phases with his teething? My little lad is the same age as Tamuffs (8 days difference if i remember right), 6 months old. Now last week he was terrible with his teeth for 3/4 days, up 2/3 times a night, clingy to me and the missus, cried when you put him down, he was only happy when you were holding him. But since he has been right as rain, sleeping through the night. Did your lad's teething happen in fits and starts?
  7. Im actually cooking Chicken, spring onion and leek pie as per Jamie Oliver's 30 minute meals. Doing away with the carrot mash and just having some oven chips. Bostin!!!
  8. To be fair lads, he hasnt really had a good decent run in the team yet so its a bit unfair to say you havnt seen anything to prove how good he is...none of us have yet! MM said previously that he is very very very highly rated at the club. We also beat Fergie to his signature just out of interest. Man Utd were apparently the team who matched our bid but Ken Bates said he would only deal with us as we had conducted ourselves so well in the whole thing.
  9. I feel your pain matey Have you tried the Ashton & Parsons teething powder mate?
  10. People who give it large gobbing off wanting a scrap...yet their girlfriend can apparently 'hold them back'!!! Bit like Gattuso last night, drops the nut...walks away...then when everyone crowds round him and there is no way of getting to Joe Jordon he goes mental...yeah your tough...bellend!!!
  11. I've never 'loost' my cool^^^ You've never lived then mate
  12. Yillan...trust me when i say you need to get some new mates. Why did no-one stop him? When was or would that ever be a good idea!?
  13. The media on Fernando Torres. Just because he hasnt scored in 120 minutes of football for Chelsea he is passed it and not good enough. Horse shit!
  14. I see...yep it is pretty shite. All in all im really very unimpressed with this game. :|
