  1. Didnt we finish 2nd with him at the helm? And we won the League Cup. So ... you didn't moan whatsoever at his 'lack of ambition' or how tight he was with money? If so.. I think you were the only one. No no you're right let's get him back, not spend any money, and we'll be 2nd again. Thanks! Where he say that? He never said anything like that but his reply has seeming made you type pretty incoherent stuff My question was in terms of all these people moaning that the board have no ambition. Thus was relative to that discussion, WR replied to my message, thus why I responded to him. WR's post seemed to imply that we were better off with Doug. Post=coherent. 2+2=5
  2. Things could be worse...we could all be Blues fans!
  3. There is no loyalty in football and agents are in business, meaning they are trying to get the best deals for both themselves and their client. If you think Mr. Downing gives a flying **** about little Johnny because he has his name on the back of his shirt and it's going to break his little heart when he leaves for a top 4 side then you are hugely mistaken. Football is the career of the individual, its a job so all they are interested in is success and pound notes, thats the bottom line and thats where it ends. Good luck to Stewart, i hope he does well at Arsenal. We are a feeder club to the top 4, unless you can splash a £100m in 1 window then you havnt got a chance, also the fact that you need to be paying wages of £80-100k and lets not forget offering CL football.

  5. Not at all sure what Sky have to do with any of this? :?
  6. Its all good and well showing ambition, but if the players dont want to be here then basically your ****!
  7. So having to build from scratch wouldnt be a set back? :?
  8. Then we will always stay 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, which is the frustrating part. I don't want to accept that part. Life's a bitch and the truth hurts but that is what we are. Like Ginge, i will support Villa through thick and thin, but if its Champians League finals and Premier League titles you want in the next 10 years your supporting the wrong team mate. Don't question my support for the team. I wouldn't give up supporting Villa because we are not in the champions league, I wouldn't give up supporting Villa if we were at Tamworth away playing in the conference. Never hinted at not supporting Villa. I've never seen us play in the champions league so I don't know any different, I'm 100% used to finishing between 16th and 6th. The frustration comes with the hope, past 4 years, coming so close, hitting a glass roof, and now falling back down. The 5 years champions league plan from Randy seems a farcry now. Both Downing and Young go, we'll be in the shit next season. Those two players must have been involved in most of our goals this season. I was'nt questioning your support mate, sorry if it came accross like that. I agree totally with what you've wrote and understand how frustrating it is, i think everyone feels the same, but this is where we find ourselves as a club and it wont change anytime soon.

  10. We are a feeder club to the top 4/5. The sooner you accept it, the easier it is.
  11. Nasri signs for Man Utd...Downing signs for Arsenal...
  12. Shall we all just agree to meet up this time next year so we can all talk sense?!?!
  13. IW have developed the best games in the series tho. MW & MW2 Its Treyarch who we dont want near the it surely?
  14. As long as this is feck all like Black Ops then i'll be happy. Black Ops was great for the first 15 hours then bored the shit out of me. Modern Warfare 1 & 2 were great, lets hope this continues.
  15. Only messing mate, i know what you mean. Roman thinks its the managers fault, when in reality the main problem is as you say, the team is just not good enough.
  16. It is tricky to be fair. At Man City i think the competition for places is too fierce. Saying that at Chelsea there isnt really ant stability ie. going through managers like its going out of fashion.
  17. Which would you choose? Tough one actually that, Man City for the cash but i think i would be swayed towards Chelsea for the playing side.
  18. Where has all this BS come from about him leaving? He's not leaving! All this from one poster reading too much into something. I'm only talking hypothetically, of course. I tend to believe more of what YIM says than others due to his friendship with one of our players. I can see him failing to settle in Birmingham though, hell even domestic players can't seem to handle it, so that's where my main worry comes from. oh...i didnt know YIM was 'connected', my bad, that shed's a little more light on it then, in that case...oh bugger!

  20. Can we stop it now...your scaring the kids! There's nothing to worry about kids...YankeeinMadrid is just a paranoid schizophrenic who hasnt took his medication today! :winkold:
