  1. Dont get me wrong, he hasnt conducted himself correctly. Although saying that, would people rather he came out and said "yes, im 100% staying" then **** off 1 month later? He's keeping his options open and i would rather him be honest with the club and the fans. Just makes me laugh people saying they will be happy when he goes!?!?
  2. The only thing this thread stinks of is sour grapes!
  3. I flew in from the US for that game, never will I forget that goal. Remarkable strike, lousy performance by Villa. Scholes undoubtedly the greatest Ginger to ever play the game and on that note: Greatest Ginger sportsman ever? Will Rooney steal the crown or does Boris Becker trump them all? Rooney's not ginger is he?
  4. Me and baby G chilling in Spain.
  5. Done mate, i agree with everything you said. If he had been Spanish or Brazilian, he would be worshipped as Kaka or Xavi are. Fantastic player,
  6. Edgar Davids : "I'm not the best, Paul Scholes is." Zinedine Zidane : "My toughest opponent? Scholes of Manchester. He is the complete midfielder." Zinedine Zidane : "Scholes is undoubtedly the best midfielder of his generation." Edgar Davids : ""Every one of us (midfielders) is just trying to become as good as him. Everyone can learn from Paul Scholes." Cesc Fabregas : "He is the one whose level I aspire to. He is the best player in the Premier League." Eidur Gudjohnsen : "I'm more an admirer of Paul Scholes than I am of Ronaldo. Ronaldo is a fantastic player, but he has 10 other great players around him every week...Scholes is one of the most complete footballers I've ever seen. His one-touch play is phenomenal. Whenever I have played against him, I never felt I could get close to him." Marcello Lippi : "Paul Scholes would have been one of my first choices for putting together a great team - that goes to show how highly I have always rated him. Scholes is a player I have always liked, because he combines great talent and technical ability with mobility, determination and a superb shot. He is an all-round midfielder who possesses character and quality in abundance. In my opinion, he's been one of the most important players for United under Sir Alex." David Beckham :"He's always one of those people others talk about. Even playing at Real Madrid, the players always say to me 'what's he like'? They respect him as a footballer, and to have that respect from some of those players is great." Xavi : "In the last 15 to 20 years the best central midfielder that I have seen — the most complete — is Scholes. I have spoken with Xabi Alonso about this many times. Scholes is a spectacular player who has everything. ‘He can play the final pass, he can score, he is strong, he never gets knocked off the ball and he doesn’t give possession away. If he had been Spanish then maybe he would have been valued more."
  7. Cheryl Cole...everything about her just pisses me off! Hugely over-rated in the looks department. Her head is the size of a pea, just made to look normal size due to the amount of foundation she wears, she must put that shit on with a trowel!
  8. Sitting at my desk looking busy, when in fact ive done naff all for the last hour except place my bet for the CL final, post on VillaTalk and watch the golf live at Wentworth on Myp2p.
  9. "Rock a bye blues scum on a tree top, when the ref blew you scumbags did drop, when you can't sleep and cry for hours, the Villa will sing the city is ours!"
  10. Congrats mate! Its brilliant. Best job in the world. George is 10 months in a couple of days, he can speed crawl now which is chaos! It is hard work, the hardest part we have found is his teething which has been pretty much none stop for the last 2 months. Grumpy babies aint good, especially at 3am. As ender4 said, you dont really get it into your head until he/she pops out, then your whole life changes in a second (for the better). Congrats again mate, you'll love it.
  11. Crazy talk. Imagine its the same people saying young is our best player, not sure they watched the pair of them this season. Though of course, who am I to question someones opinion. IMO Downing has been head and shoulders above young this season. What is crazy talk? The fact that im saying i dont want eaither Young or Downing to leave? :? Downing & Young are easly our best 2 players. I was actually agreeing* with you, I was saying the people who were saying downing could be easily replaced were talking crazy talk . *Dont agree on the Young bit though Furry muff

  13. People saying 'let him go' and 'easily replaceable' are deluded. Im sorry but losing both Young and Downing would/will set us back. Ive said before that im sure GH would invest the £40 wisely, but signings take time to settle. Losing your 2 best players is never ever a good thing.
  14. I really hope Luke Donald becomes world number 1 this weekend. Just seems to lose his nerve every time the door is opened for him. Good start yesterday tho shooting a 7 under par 64. Can see both Poulter and Quiros doing well.
  15. You dont look at the mantal while your poking the fire. Im not fussy anyway, you should see my missus! :winkold:
  16. I don't think the club has the money to invest more than £20-30 million a season. Well you know I could have sworn blind that I have been saying for two years now that Randy does not have the money to take achieve the goals he has said he wants to achieve here (top four) and that in order to do that we need more money or a new owner with the kind of money required. But I had loads disagreeing with me, obviously you weren't one of those to disagree then. Dont get me wrong I'm comfortable with the club we are, second tier premier league club with the odd cup challenge here and there. What I am not comfortable with is people believing, or actually stating, that we are anything different or aiming for something more without the wherewithall to back it up. It's bad enough that Randy hasn't got the guts to make any decisions, but if he hasn't even got the money to compete anymore, I wonder why he's still the owner of this club because it's not to take us forward. You my good man, are talking shite!
  17. Didnt we finish 2nd with him at the helm? And we won the League Cup. So ... you didn't moan whatsoever at his 'lack of ambition' or how tight he was with money? If so.. I think you were the only one. No no you're right let's get him back, not spend any money, and we'll be 2nd again. Thanks! Where he say that? He never said anything like that but his reply has seeming made you type pretty incoherent stuff My question was in terms of all these people moaning that the board have no ambition. Thus was relative to that discussion, WR replied to my message, thus why I responded to him. WR's post seemed to imply that we were better off with Doug. Post=coherent. 2+2=5 Please try and argue that your post did not imply that we were better off with Doug? We won the league cup with DE at the helm, this is fact. We were runner's up in the league with DE at the helm, this is fact. Your sarcasm detector must need some new batteries pal.
