  1. couldn't agree more it's the same with drink driving .. 1 in 6 deaths on the road are down to drink drivers , so that means 5 of them are caused by people who are sober Do me a favour Tony...find out how many of those remaining 5 deaths were due to speeding.
  2. I find the gesture that people can see everything around them at all times, day or night, kids hiding behind cars etc while driving 'fast'. utter horseshit. And i call the fact that none of these wonder drivers have hit a kid...lucky.
  3. Maybe you don't drive but you are 100 % wrong. Example. It's getting dark, and I enter a built up area from a motorway with parked cars at 4.00pm (Eg Kingstanding) My Ability and experience tells me to slow down, look through the parked cars if possible for people crossing, are there kids playing footie or similar, use the reflections in the windows to see extra angles if possible, check for ice cream vans or similar, reduce speed to under the limit depending. Drive expecting little jonny to run out any second, not just think it might happen. It works at 150 mph just as well, go to Germany and try it. (I was taught to drive by a rapid response old bill and these are the things ALL drivers should be doing ALL the time, if your not then you should not be behind the wheel ever. After the amount of miles I have driven this has served me well) The fact that people are arguing with me about driving ability is beyond words to be honest but it would be easier to just catch little jonny and let his mom and dad know) I do drive. So are you saying you do drive at the speed limit in built up areas? FWIW i dont see how you can see a 2 year old child stood behind a car? No, I drive in accordance the the conditions and surroundings and adjust my speed to what is safe. Simple as that. If I rally thought a 2 year old was about to jump under my car then I would stop. You can look under cars on a hill, through cars, shadows, reflections and many more. From your question, I take it you have never gone past a parked car then ? How do you know there is not a 2 year old there. I use numerous different ways to check and these methods have served me fine for over 1 million mile + , what do you do then ? Shut your eyes I drive within the speed limit because im not Colin M...Jenson Button.

  5. I'm talking Motorways here not doing 80 through a 30 zone little johnny is perfectly safe from me so he can sleep easy Thank God for that...i thought i was going to have to reach for the Propofol!
  6. So is the manager mode the same as career mode? Is it like a playable Football Manager?
  7. hold on there .. so far you are in the minority ... not that mob rules or anything but that would suggest the delusion is either contagious or not so delusional after all !! It's one of the most contagious things in the world. Bolstered by TV programs, films, car advertising and bar room boasting. There must be better uses for testosterone. maybe to a 20 year old but personally I don't drive fast just so I can go down the pub to tell people about it , nor do i feel I have to race Mr. teen in his mums car at the lights either ... I drive fast mainly because my car and myself happen to be able to do so safely .. I think you'd be hard pushed to find a TV car advert based around speed , predominantly car adverts focus nowadays on safety ,how green they are and how fit a supermodel you will pull if you drive their car , don't they ? There is not only you on the roads Tony, its as if your trying to say that driving fast is 'ok' because 'i know what im doing'? Breaking distances are decreased, what about little Johnny who runs into the road, you've more chance of stopping if your doing 30mph than if your doing 40mph. You mindset about speeding is frightening! What about the massive vast majority that drive around with a "it's OK, I have no clue what I am doing " attitude ? If Tony drives like I do then "little Jonny boy" is in no danger as driving style and speed is dictated to the current driving conditions and surroundings + driver ability and experience. So do people driving at 30mph or at 40mph pose more of a threat to little Johnny? Driving condition? Hot sunny day like today, you still have more chance of stopping at 30 than you do at 40. 30mph you have say 10m to react, 40mph you have say 5m to react. It simple physics that little Johnny is in more danger with you driving at 40mph than his is when you are driving at 30mph. Ability and experience dont effect little Johnny deciding to run into the road. The fact that people are even arguing this point is beyond words!?!?

  9. Ive had Gabby 1st to score and Villa to win 2-0 @ 28/1, first game this season ive had a good feeling about.
  10. fair play to him if this was the case. was watching on a particularly shit stream so couldn't really tell. So if it's the players playing long balls despite the managers instruction them maybe certain players should be dropped. Im guessing thats what it was, that along with sitting back and defending too deep. He certainly wasnt happy whatever it was. Didn't you know, Richard? Apparently he did that just to show off and make us fans believe what you just said without really maning it. He wanted us to play hoof balls but didn't want us to believe he wanted that. According to some, at least. Apologies...i should know by now! :winkold:

  12. Seems even the players seem to be a bit sick of McLeish's tactics. To be fair to McLeish, against QPR even he was trying to stop the long balls, he was going ape on the side line.
  13. No way will he drop N'Zogbia against his old club, players always play better against their old clubs imo.
  14. Bent for Ireland? Cant see him dropping Bannan. So... Jenas...Petrov...Bannan Gabby...Bent...N'Zogia ??? Although im happy with that, i was hoping to see Ireland get a run in the team, our best player 2nd half against QPR.
  15. Wigan wont bring anyone, 1000 at the most. 29,000
  16. I would love to see Ireland and Bannan strike up a partnership. Both are without a doubt our most technically gifted players, if they can get a bit of form playing together then it can only be a good thing. Ireland needs a run of games to find his top form which i no doubt think we will see at some point. He showed glimpses 2nd half against QPR of returning to form FWIW i think McLeish has thus far handled him perfectly by drip-feeding him 1st team minutes and not rushing him back. Lets not forget how little football the lad has played over the last 2 years. Im of the believing that Ireland will turn out to be a huge player for us this season.
  17. Confidant about this one, as i said before, start like we did 2nd half against QPR and i think we will piss this game. I'd drop Delph to bring Bent back in. 4-3-3 with Gabby, N'Zogbia and Bent up front Petrov, Bannan and Ireland in the middle. Hopefully Jenas will come off the bench at some point if things start to go a little flat. Bannan & Ireland look to have a good understanding, both technically excellent footballers.
  18. Scored a stunner and generally bossed the game as we beat Fenerbahce 4-0. Getting closer & closer me thinks.
