Its not Bent who needs to change, its the manager and his tactics. Why should Bent change the way he plays, a style that has seen him score goal after goal at this level, just to accomodate a tactically inept manager? The sad thing is, the board are not football men and wont/cant see it.

Good. The mans a total waste of time in this current set-up. Partly due to the set -up and partly due to his lack of ability. Behave. He showed last season that given the right set up he can score goals for fun. If you think Bent leaving is good then you're absolutely barking mad. :shock: Yes, but its quite clear that the right set up for Bent isn't going to happen. He also seems unwilling/unable to adapt to the system. Why should he? He's scored 143 PL goals doing what he does and playing how he plays. Its AM who should change his tactics to accomadate Bent...not the other way round. The way he plays has worked everywhere else.

According to the Premier League website, Dempsey has actually had 68 shots this season. Our whole team have had only 126. Gabby - 24 shots Bent - 21 shots Thats 23 more shots than our 2 strikers put together. Desperate. Can we also add that he's a midfielder, like i say, exactly the type of player we are missing.

Couldnt believe it! The police have told him that its getting more and more common as without the keys the car is useless. They even said its best to leave the keys on the side as, once they're in the house they will just go looking for them and wont give a **** who tries to stop them! I mean it was 8:30 on the evening! What makes it worse is that they police recon they must have been watching them to know they had both gone upstairs! WTF!

Just got off the phone with my best mate. Sunday night at 8:30pm, their lad is in his cot upstairs and starts to cry, so they go and see to him. Next thing his missus's A3 is be reversed off the drive. The **** walked into the house at 8:30pm and took the keys off the side while all 3 of them were in the house with all the lights on!

With this in mind, what makes you think our current manager will ever even consider signing him? Because he's even better in the air? :winkold:

Cant tell if serious.... I am serious. If Bent was unhappy with the service and wanted to leave...I honestly think Lerner would invest in a player. I am not saying that it is right for a player to dictate to a Chairman, I just think Lerner has his favourites and Lerner does text Bent a lot apparantly. I'd love to think that your right mate, i really do. Unfortunatly i think the purse strings have been tightened and tied in a knot. I mean, you'd be looking at spending between £10-15m (or Dempsey for a little less) to get someone of the required quality. I'm getting the impression you rate Dempsey Yep. 28, scores between 5 & 10 goals a season. Strong, good in the air, very capable with the ball at his feet and wouldnt cost the earth. This season, in 14 games. 4 goals, 3 assists, 52 shots on goal, 35 on target.

I would love it if he did. Ive wanted Pennant for 2 seasons now and made it clear on here. Cracking player who knows what he has to do and doesnt complicate things...we need decent deliveries into the box and that what he does. Moves the ball a yard and delivers. £20m on Dempsey and Pennant and i would be over the moon.

The fans don't want him, and he'd need to be spectacularly good in terms of style of play and results to trun that around. At the moment, he's achieved neither, and the fans' ire is building hugely. Those that on the surface were prepared to give him 5 or 10 minutes to see how he did have done that, and are now fully into the "get him out" camp. I can't see how he's going to be good enough to pull this around in ths short term (which is all he's got). We're going to need to see a massive improvement, and quickly. I don't hold out much hope. What theory is this? In what way will would he be a good appointment with time? I was prepared to give him a chance, I have done, it's been abysmal. Im with POB on this one Jon lad. I think even if he was given funds, he would not spend them wisely and even if he did i dont think he has the tecnical brain to make it work on the pitch.
