  2. I love the bloke, seems like a genuinely nice chap of the field.
  3. Frost (generally) = beautiful skies, but cold .... I'll take that over slightly less cold, but damp and overcast and grey and miserable. Frost = Temporary greens ah yes. you've trumped me there. :winkold: I would however take less cold, damp, overcast and grey till about 1ish, then beautiful clear blue sky's and sub-zero temperatures afterwards.

  5. Ground frost. Its been beautiful all week, comes to the weekend and its forecast widespread frost!!!
  6. Thats reminded me, to make some dosh out of stupid xmas junkies next year by buying a shitload of Heston Orange filled xmas puddings, which sell out every year (Waitrose limit them to 2 a customer!) usually before December starts. This year they were going on E-bay for £200 a pop (they only cost £20) It does pisses me off that people are that barking mad to spend that kind of dosh on something so silly but it shouldn't as I plan to make some money out of their stupidity (hows that for being randomly on topic!) I like the idea Bicks, can you PM me around October time next year please to remind me?
  7. They've discontinued the LEGO Star Wars Death Star as of Christmas just gone. So what used to be around £250, is now going from £300 to £400 on Ebay!
  8. David Gilmour - (Live at Gdansk 2006) Makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end!
  9. Watched Cage Fighter on Sky Sports last night and Louis King was on...the bloke is an animal!
  10. "You talkin' to me? Then who the hell else are you talking...you talking to me? Well I'm the only one here. Who the **** do you think you're talking to? Oh yeah? OK."
  11. I dont eat alot of junk in all honesty. We (i really mean i because the missus cant cook for toffee) cook 5 out of 7 days/evenings of the week. I really enjoy a take-away of some sort on a Friday night with a couple of tinnies, and the other night of the week is usually just frozen stuff like oven chips and that sort of stuff, ususally if the missus is working a long day. Plenty of fish, chicken, fresh veg & pasta gets consumed in our house. On the back of that, i would say cooking lifts me up if ive had a shit day at work. Our diet has improve a shed load since the little dude arrived as obviously we want him to eat right and not be scared of healthy foods. Looks like its working... The kid **** loves peas, bless him, it takes him ages as he insists on eating them one-by-one. *just to clarify, we dont only give the poor kid peas. He'd finished his Sunday dinner so we put some more peas in his bowl!
  12. "stocking the pond" Having a poo? Yup I know exactly what your on about Bri. Just the other day, think it was Sunday. Ive sat down to give my current book (SEAL Team 6) a good half an hour read, only for the missus to keep coming to the door asking me what i think we should put on the shopping list. For Christ's sake woman...i dont really care because the shopping list goes out the window the second we step into ASDA anyway...just leave me in peace!
  13. I was thinking more along the lines of... Pizza Kebabs Fish & Chips Burgers Chinese food Indian food
  14. Have you heard from that interview the other day mate? Any good?
  15. Terrible story mate, puts things in perspective and highlights the fact that we sometimes take things for granted and dont realise how lucky we are at times. On a related note, there is a bloke who drinks in the pub opposite my old man, who i know reasonably well. He had a 2 month old nephew who went for his 1st lot of jabs last week, seemed fine the rest of the day, just a little grizzly as was my son was when he had his. Died the very next day, got to do an autopsy now to find out what caused it. Ripped me to pieces a little by realising how lucky we are that George is fit and well. And they say there is a God up there...
  16. But a (very) bad round can surely darken the mood? Frustrating more than anything, even if i play badly it never puts me in a bad mood, but everything can change within the space of a couple of holes. You could shank one into the trees off the 1st tee and finish up with a bogey...then go and put your approach shot on the 2nd to within 4 feet and sink the put for a birdie, back to level par and the 1st is forgotten. Yes, if you have a complete mare over 18 holes, then you do tend to leave the course a little pissed off. It pisses you off because you know you can do it, i mean ive pared every hole on my home course and birdied probably 14/15 of the holes at some point...why the hell cant it just come together on the same day!?!? My last round, apart from the first 3 holes or so, was really decent, and I left a happy bunny, especially after a textbook par on the 18th. But the round before that I was not so good, and left the course feeling quite dissapointed with myself. But yes, I'd agree that the act of golf itself is quite therapeutic, and it's 4 hours of not worrying about anything else other than the round itself. And that in itself is why i enjoy it so much and find it quite addictive. Like i said Jon, you feel disappointed because you know full well you have it in your locker to par every hole on the course...just not in the same round! I would recommend golf to anyone, the most addictive/rewarding sport ive ever played. My only regret is not starting sooner.

  18. Granny or Nanny are fine, it's just Grandma that i cant stand.
  19. No way, I absolutely love making Ikea stuff also. No instructions needed any more really either for 90 % of it. I think this is connected to my models that I build that I forgot to put in the above list. Yes, little models and stuff. You can lose hours and hours..... Thats something ive never done but always fancied. I'd love to give one of these bad boy's a go... or
  20. Computer games actually usually leave me feeling quite irritated, particularly Football Manager. Same here, a bad hour or 2 on Call Of Duty = rage quit and making the cat sleep outside for the night!
  21. I reckon I break the world record for most expletives in an hour whenever I attempt anything like that .... I always say never again and then the wife will order something for the kids that invariably comes flat packed ..she has to take the children into protective custody for their own good whilst I finally get around to putting it together I have to do it by myself tho, anyone else tries to get involved and the rage starts to flow. "no no no, that piece has to go..." "just **** off and leave me be!!!"
