  1. I hope you're right because I too want him to stay in. He's obviously against any and all central midfielders including the likes of Bannan too. He is probably lower in the pecking order than any of them. He got his debut mainly because of injury and partly because of the clamour for him to get his debut IMO. Herd would go in ahead of him at the mo' if he came back and we'd revert to a dedicated defensive mid. I don't want that to happen. For me, I'd keep Gardner and Petrov in the centre and then put whatever you want around that. When all are fit, there is a bit of a selection headache imo. Herd, Clark, Petrov, Bannan & Ireland. For me i would go with Petrov and Clark holding, allowing Ireland/Gardner to roam around and create. I'd like to play a 3 man central midfield, but i also like Bent and Gabby together. How about... ----------Petrov-----Clark------- N'Zogbia------------------Gabby ----------Ireland/Gardner-------- ----------------Bent---------------- Looks strong on paper. Or maybe drop Clark and play Ireland & Gardner...Cant be much more attacking then that!? Gardner can use his engine to cover the pitch and get up and down, Petrov to hold and Ireland in a bit of a free role to feed and create for Bent.
  2. He's got more chance of beating them in a race than trying to do some step overs.
  3. Or British people who talk about "movies". As in, going to the ''movies''?
  4. Jones is a brilliant player imo. Each to their own.
  5. Clark is a top talent. Man Utd were sniffing round him at one point. He's never a full back. Very similar to Rodwell and Phil Jones, in the sense that he can do a job in midfield but will eventually be a centre half. His lack of real pace will not hinder him being a top player, as his footballing brain and reading of the game is superb.
  6. Naught naughty. I think he will get hit with a ban for what he did to Parker yesterday.
  7. Why is it that quick player never seem to run at defenders? If i was manager, i would be telling Gabby and Albrighton to run at the full backs every chance they get. **** the step overs, just kick and run.
  8. Dont like the bloke. Superb footballer, but as a bloke i just dont like him.
  9. It wasnt a field filled with mugs tho. Zach Johnson Paul Casey Hunter Mahan Matt Kuchar Jim Furyk Martin Laird Rickie Fowler Bubba Watson Bo Van Pelt Gary Woodland K.J. Choi Webb Simpson Bill Haas Jason Day Steve Stricker Keegan Bradley Impressive field to finish top of.
  10. It was his event yeah, The Chevron World Challenge.
  11. In my eyes, he's still the best golfer on the planet. When he's on form and playing well, there is no-one on the planet who can get within touching distance of him. Won his 1st tournamant in 2 years last month and has stated that its the first time in a long while that he has been able to play without pain.
  12. Brilliant, talking of selling Bannan now. This is as crazy as the idea of selling Ireland. So let me get this straight, people would happily move on are only 2 technically gifted players? **** brilliant! I love VillaTalk, it reasures me that i am of sane mind.
  13. Also, i would not be surprised at all if Tiger won a major this year.
  14. No, i agree. "Drive for show, putt for dough" But it does make some holes a little easier when you can do...
  15. Did you know Robert Rock is the only player on the tour who never wears a hat/cap. True story.
  16. What sort of price does Bjorn usually pitch in at for the majors Snowy? Around 40's? If he can continue his form from last year, i think he could surprise a few people. Looks like we both agree that Jason Day could do some special things this year, superb talent. I like Manassero, just think his lack of distance off the tee could hamper him. Saying that, Luke Donald is one of the shorter players off the tee and it hasnt held him back.
  17. All that is left for Donald to do is win a major, he pissed the money list on both tours, pissed the race to Dubai and has been world #1 for almost 35 weeks. Sadly, i dont see him winning a major (this year). I hope im wrong tho.
  18. My hot picks to do well for this season are: Jason Day Francesco Molinari K J Choi Rickie Fowler Simon Dyson Harrington is plodding along nicely in the Volvo Open at 4 under after the 1st round. I think a few people forget just what Harrington is capable of, lets not forget this is a bloke who is a 3 time major winner. A top 5 finish for him in the Volvo would be a nice way to start the year. I also expect Tiger to make it back inside the top 10 this year. Major winners this year, im going to go with: Jason Day Steve Stricker Justin Rose Lee Westood (as long as he brings his putter with him) Outside bet to win a major is Sergio Garcia, found a bit of form in fits and starts last year. Unfortunately, i think Donald will remain at #1, picking up wins on the tour (both of them), but come up short in the major's. On a personal note, im going to put myself down for a top 5 finish in my club championships.
  19. Sorry dude. But seriously, as Mike says, everyone imo should have the right to end their own life, should it get to the stage where no other treatment available is able to cure them.
  20. Not sure if its been done. Just wondered what everyones thoughts on the matter were? If someone is terminally ill, should they have the right to end their own life? A diary by the daughter of a terminally ill woman - The Gaurdian
