  1. Out of curiosity, how do people decide who to vote for? I've mentioned it before, but my current MP is a tory with a poor attitude towards foodbanks - but worked tirelessly to help the local football club and is now helping the guides and scouts get a new roof for the clubhouse thing. Vote for him as a nice chap, and I get Cameron and May. The Labour guy I'm sure is pleasant enough, at least he's local, but never actually turns up to anything we invite him to, not the football, not the community garden, not the guides or the school. He's always got some sort of Labour branch meeting thing in his diary. UKIP, well I don't have mental issues so I can give them the big swerve. Plaid, well again, a really really nice guy that is thoroughly honest and very hard working and I'd trust him with my own CD collection. But got about 400 votes last time, so a wasted vote. So, local good guy, or national party?
  2. well done tories and well done labour Tory leaders running so scared of the euro sceptics / ukip types that they promised them a debate they were never really going to have - May's reasoning this morning? They could still debate the EAW if they wanted to, I told them they could, it just didn't need to be put in the bill. Well done on the lateral thinking, shame nobody else was quite as brilliant as you on working out that particular line of logic. Labour sensing a short term victory get a debate on something they are in favour of - that they already have - 1 day before the Rochester bi election. The possible result? An increased chance of a UKIP win. Good for Labour is it? A UKIP 'momentum'? Retarded career politicians the lot of them.
  3. comet stuff from Rosetta - astronomy now we can be quite clever when we try
  4. As ever, the new Alabama 3 album comes out and after 3 days of listening, it's their biggest and best yet. A great live band, popular enough to keep on keepin' on, touring and recording. But small enough for gig tickets to be affordable and to be able share a drink in the pub over the road before the gig. New version of Devil Goes Down To Ibiza could make the dead dance. As can be seen at gigs, where the dead do indeed come out to dance.
  5. if you're with a woman and still holding your own, well that evening's gone one of two very different ways....
  6. shit shit shit I went out on one of my crazy meth induced crossdressing 'dare dates' last night. I've just woken up and the **** is still here. He hasn't beaten me up so I guess I successfully kept him away from my surprise package. I'll see if he wants meat and two veg for Sunday lunch...
  7. How do you feel about...... the economy the new Fiat 500 open relationships killing small animals slowly web cams marriage
  8. You only have to ask babe xx I presume we all just do the person to our right? That would be awkward for left-handers. perverts, the lot of 'em as long as I'm next to somebody with small hands I'll be happy

  10. Face it Welshman, you traced the map.. you don't have access to printers.. or computers... which leads me to my next question.. how on earth do you have 7,000 posts?! I'll have you know, if I did trace a map it would be foofing awesome tracing - it's what I did for a few years back in the day, with my little Rotring pens and my scale stencils and my A0 oversized tilting drafting desk. But I now have access to a scanner that can scan and colour print 1.5 metres wide by 10 metres long. I could scan and print the mofo Bayeux Tapestry at 1:1 scale if so inclined. But I am a bit of a Luddite, I just sent somebody a drawing of a roof parapet gargoyle that I did on paper with pens and hand written notes - ha! try robbing that detail for your own cad library, mister large national construction company! I spend a lot of time in the golden triangle (Redditch / that London / Sittingbourne), and they have decent wifi in two of those.
  11. I haven't a clue what that is - I just like receiving music through the post. It's so in the face of i-tunes. I too have received a parcel today containing 2 CD's - had an irate text off the little lady suggesting it could be a bad time to be buying myself treats this close to Crimbus. I have assured her you can't buy that schizz in no High Street.
  12. I've got a feeling that unlucky eddie will hold on and hold on against mounting pressure and ridicule right up until about March and then chuck it in. Giving no time to properly consider a new leader. Making it all the more likely they go in to the election on a Balls / Harman golden ticket.
  13. I also did that with one of the maps! What a sad bunch we are.
  14. I suspect MMV is actually a well rounded broadly leftist individual, married, content and gently prodding us all into repeatedly re confirming our allegiance to the internationale. It's an exercise in political muscle memory, for when we one day go outside and interact with actual people.
  15. if at all possible, leave the shitting until you are back out of the room not everyone is a fan of the mid interview shit "Miss D'Arcy, quickly, phone HR and Cleansing - we have a dumper..."
  16. You won't be surprised that I didn't find much to disagree with, in what Phillips said. correct
  17. Bert Raccoon, Christopher Crocodile and a poor attempt at J.R. Ewing? ahh yeah I can see it now. I'd thought it was Brokeback Mountain but they didn't have a tent costume so they did a crocodile.
  18. There does appear to be an opinion that eventually 'the West' will have its elections and be ready to take on IS with 'boots on the ground'. I think there is an impression that once we've been sufficiently goaded, or retail prices go up, there will be a tank battle and out highly trained and organised troops marching in roman legion formation rooting out and destroying rag bag groups of ragheads. Road to Basra II. I'm not sure that'll happen.
  19. Melanie Philips in brief: 'hey, I'm from immigrant stock, but this place is full now and we don't want people who are culturally different to us, pull up the bridge' or to put it in less words: 'hey, I'm alright, **** you' .....and now: 'we've created a paedophile society by giving girls sex education' **** nasty idiot ----- I didn't know who she was at the time, a quick wiki check this morning and who'd have thunked it, she writes for the Daily Mail.
  20. The audience has a large number of planted stooges that ask questions some on the panel have helped to form. To suggest, as the programme does, that the panel does not know what is coming, is a tad stretching the truth.
