  1. you sir, have just passed the British nationality test, I salute you
  2. I was persuaded to go along to a St David's Day parade today, first time I've ever gone along. Not really my thing, I do like a nice fancy flag but I'm not really strongly into that thing that creeps into 'pride' in an accident of birth or a nationality. I have to hold my hand up and say I enjoyed it, I only went for the tea and cake at the end, but I'd definitely go again next year. Not least, because as much as it was 'welsh' it was actually lots of folk from all over just having a jolly time. From Nepal, Poland, Philippines, France, Turkey, Scotland and Patagonia etc., plus a Samba band and two hippies with a bike that pumped out bubbles. Not a hint of that UKIP / EDL style nationalism I'd always presumed went hand in hand with people marching down a street. It can go in the diary for next year.
  3. Just to support a mod and get the secret bonus likes you get for doing that, Bicks has been very clear in condemning any 'party' system of politics for a long time.
  4. I want to know what the fourth book in the series could possibly be? My money is on.....Soup.
  5. there really aren't any background factors that can lessen the fact he's murdered the innocent for publicity and cartoon infamy
  6. Tom Hanks and Prince whoever can go spin, we've got a real celeb right here amongst us.

  10. used to have it in my old house, weird floaty white water the stuff here now if **** wonderful by comparison, totally different stuff and a pleasure to drink yay! nice drinking water
  11. which, half of the time, is an excellent idea with excellent results proving your financial acumen and big balls what could possibly go wrong!
  12. It is predominantly the micro bubbles that, I think, mean high water pressure somewhere along the line. It can also be exaggerated if you are in a hard water area (the sort of place where the kettle can scale up), or if for some reason there has been chemical additive (calcium?) that has been carried out slightly crudely. A tiny per centage can be caused by your water tank if your drinking water isn't direct off the mains, but that would be unlikely - most people are direct feed for drinking water.
  13. this absolutely nothing to do with the people of Capel Celyn spitting in the water
  14. we could do a Villa drone strike and just repeatedly shoot him in the foot, week after week until he's really really sad
  15. that probably depends if you are buying upwards or downwards... cashing in and buying a camper van to go and work at a sleepy Lincolnshire nudist colony - good thing borrowing on a mortgage to try and get a career to pay off a uni loan - probably pants
  16. oh I see now, I read it as lego rocket polisher, and presumed he was having a pop at someone post on poster stylee.
  17. The Guardian are certainly doing their best to try and help her out. Which, in itself may be splitting the 'left' vote by persuading teachers in the staff room at break time that there is an alternative. But yeah, perhaps others are right. Perhaps splitting the vote and showing the posh man in the posh suit that is supposed to be 'our' man that we know he's actually just another version of 'their' man and we need to recalibrate would be a good thing in the long run.
  18. Stay safe and calm in Newcastle today chaps, dickheads on the loose, with anti immigrant protestors and anti anti immigrant protestors all doing their thing.
  19. definitely NO to the first point. Most migration is economic, surely? All the Brits that migrate to yurp, murka and Aus are not fleeing war or environmental degradation. Ditto the French, Polish, and others who come to the uk. On the second point the greens have now "clarified" that like everyone else, of course joining AQ or ISIS should be illegal. when was this 'clarified'? Bennett made a big thing of how she couldn't change stuff on the hoof from leadership level, they were the only truly democratic party and only the members could vote to get it changed? Was there a vote? Or did she get that democracy bit, a bit wrong?
  20. Rugeley, They're all winding you up mate, with their 'dress codes' and top hats. This year's theme is disco vicars in bondage.
  21. saw them tonight, short n sweet, but they did Fire In My Heart, so I'm proper happy Howard Marks looked like crap, hadn't realised he was so ill. Alabama 3 rocked it with an acoustic country and western set, Cerys Matthews did Ring of Fire, The Earth played a set, a choir did the national anthem and a cover of rolling stones you can't always get what you want. Don Letts did an absolutely storming DJ set. All in all, not the worst night ever.
  22. I'm in the office on my boss's laptop, I'll just look up what pegging is....
