  1. people don't tend to ask where I'm from if they've already heard me speak Oh! what's occurin'? Tidy.
  2. relishing the thought of 3,000 of them turning up to an away 'derby' game presuming they'll get a result and actually going away spanked, having kick started our recovery 2:0 and bizarrely straightforward
  3. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZ4Q9_bDwLY I first saw them on 'The Tube' many many years ago. My dad was grossly personally offended by 'krauts' using an angle grinder as a musical instrument and shouting rubbish. So naturally, I was hooked.
  4. is it just curiosity or for sexual pleasure? I just want to track them down and ask if they ended up with any shit on their face somebody on here a few days ago complained they had a shit goatee - might be worth following up?
  5. kermit gif made me laugh out loud excellent
  6. shift work can **** you up on the other hand, shift work can mean 4 days off regularly, meaning you get your mini break holidays and weekends away without dipping into annual leave if you're precious about being on holiday at holiday times, that can be tricky personally, and it is a personal taste thing, I'd jump at it in an instant
  7. if the other three contestants had all clubbed together they'd have beaten him by a clear point! well done that man
  8. I knew that one! Collapsing new buildings! get in
  9. there can't be too many football forum's with live coverage of Brain of Britain 2,3,9,14 at half time surely nothing can go wrong now.....
  10. I think that was my point. Many things can be 'justified' without the ability to get a highlighter out and directly reference them in the book.
  11. I wouldn't mind betting they can justify anything they wish with their interpretation of what is meant by words, phrases and stories in the Quran. It wouldn't take a genius, clearly it wouldn't. Most of these people have varying degrees of mental problems. If you have a book which categorically states it's ok to stone people to death, stop women driving and condone the taking of slaves then it is either stone cold wrong, or wide open to multiple modern misinterpretations.
  12. Hang on, Labour get welsh cakes and Plaid get cheese on toast with worcestershire sauce? The world's gone mad. Surely Plaid would be chips, mostly paid for by somebody else, lamb and welsh cakes. As Tony correctly points out, the tories would be eating a baby, poached in stolen school milk with the cutlery outsourced to a supplier in the middle east that pays a retainer to several front benchers.
  13. Rob finally succumbs to masturbatory wet macular degeneration disease.
  14. Guardian - Leaders Debate squirm Greens have attempted to get Lucas into the Leaders debate instead of er, erm, oh, er, cough cough, er that Gordon Barnet woman. The TV companies have said no, and pointed at the title of the show. Looks to me like they've spotted somebody that might actually make this compulsive viewing, in a car crash kind of way.
  15. just a bump for bump sake........

    Top Gear

Without taking the Top Gear thread way offline, the 'stars' of Supernatural are currently charging £80 for a photo opportunity - once you've paid £100 entry fee to the event.
  18. I can use the internet sufficiently well for my, er, needs.

I went to a Comic Book / Sci Fi convention in Milton Keynes last year. I won't bore you with the reasons for my attendance, suffice to say it wasn't one of the highlights of my year, ranking just below back pain and watching Aston Villa for entertainment value. Anyway, at this convention, Gillian Anderson was signing autographs. Pretty much all day, at £30 a pop - no photo's. You wanted a photo, you had to queue again and pay another £30 or you could buy her official photo for £10 and she'd sign that for you, Apart from a few comfort breaks, she was there for a whole day and for the whole day there was a queue outside her little booth. We sat and watched the queue a few times and it was moving at a fair pace, she wasn't exactly giving people 20 minutes of 1 on 1 pillow talk. The ticketing system was a simple 3 digit raffle ticket and at the end of the day was in the 700's. We therefore scientifically estimated she'd signed or had photo's about 700 times, plus selling the photo's and merch that she was signing! Not bad money, I'd love to know what the split was with the organisers. Even at 50 / 50 she must have easily cleared £8 / £9 / £10k for a day's 'work'. Sylvester Mccoy did less well.
  20. Perhaps he's had a change of heart? Perhaps he's going to announce that they've been running a 2,000 year experiment on the principle of 'an eye for an eye' and the results are finally in. Everyone ends up blind.
  21. am I being uber dumb? how are people getting the graphic to post up? I'm really chuffed with my -8 / -8 and wanted to show off...but it's a png file that won't post. ....there is something fundamentally flawed with that test - I just filled it in with as many stupid arse neo con answers as I could, putting corporations strongly ahead of people and insisting people's bedroom antics be monitored etc.. - my result came out less right wing than where they've plotted Labour. For all the quips about Labour not being 'left' which I can agree with, that test cannot be giving decent results
