  1. Sounds like this particular incident was a bit of low rent farce. But as for the principle of having the occasional bit of agitation and not letting everyone have their 'fair say', well personally I think we have a proud tradition of knowing when to protest beyond being quiet and playing the good fair law abiding democrat - and long may the rare but necessary bit of direct action continue. I don't think the battle of Queen's Head will be getting a plaque any time soon though.
  2. I would also like Boris to be next tory leader. Sooner the better.
  3. opening paragraph (all my own work, not robbed from anyone on here that spotted it and retweeted it first, ha!)
  4. people who've felt for a long time its not ok to speak their mind their mind crying out a random list of the following: Britain is Great and is admired the world over for being fair and honest and democratic. Other people in other places need to be more like us. Too many darkies. Although the one I know is ok, I don't mean him. I mean the ones I don't know. Especially their kids. Kids on skateboards and those odd too small bikes and with their jeans falling down. They are muggers and should be sent back. Iraq should sort out its own **** problems and stop relying on us. In the 1950's it was always sunny and you could leave your front door open. TV reality shows with footage of asiany araby looking poor people hiding in lorries is proof Britain is full. Britain is full and they shouldn't be building anything of any description anywhere near my house. I really really really hope they soon discover that global warming has finished and its ok to smoke. Bloody darkies. And bloody anyone I don't know or doesn't look act and speak like me to be quite honest. God save the Queen. Did I mention I liked the 1950's? I will say this, I quite like Trevor Macdonald and chicken tikka masala.
  5. you've left the laptop camera on all of VT have seen your winky
  6. leaving aside the pretty scummy way to 'protest' and potentially give the arsewipe some sort of perverted sympathy vote..... ....I simply can't imagine driving off without my kids. I genuinely hope / believe I'd stand and fight before I ran without my kids.
  7. because everyone can be pious on the interweb and claim they don't want to drive a car or commute for more money or eat cheaper food or buy clothes instead of weaving their own
  8. V4europe, if your missus has a ball ache and has given you a salty drink you really need to wise up.
  9. Very confused little section about it on Radio 4 earlier where he first denied anything at all then later said they'd taken tape recordings of him trying to do a deal out of context. Sounded a little like he needs to take 10 minutes out, re group and decide on one version of his own story.
  10. As fun as it sounds, physically attracting popcorn is going to get pretty tiresome eventually. I bet it's a bit of a curse to be honest.
  11. aw man, skinhead girls and I'm currently going through a whole Upsetters / Scratch phase again at the moment, just genius

  13. genuinely thought I'd deleted it in time thanks for the advice guys looks like a couple of you chaps have been to the basement level of Cyber Dog in Camden
  14. ha ha ! bad typo on the Evangelists record...
  15. UKIP are saying the eclipse earlier was proof nobody should question their restaurant receipts.
  16. Watched the eclipse reflected in a warm and glorious piece of Swansea secular stained glass.
  17. The map looks interesting and looks believable, but I tend to give that sort of data a pinch of salt. As a gut reaction, I'd have expected areas of London to be amongst the poorest. Also, what exactly has been measured? We had that fantastic statistic the other day in the Libertarian thread that Saudi Arabia was more free than Portugal. But perhaps, like a politicians lies and dalliances they don't need to be factual, they just need to feel true.
  18. which in turn has made me think..... 2 minutes in is classic https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AqDbb7-dn9A
  19. yeah, I'd leave that in the religion thread, too many aggressive atheist nutters on here for a sensible discussion but you'd love a day out in Kent, it's packed with this kind of stuff...
