    Greece

Someone has actually started a crowd-funding thing. If every person in the EC paid 3 euros Greece could meet their immediate needs and 300 euros would pay off their debts completely. unfortunately those that can most afford 300 Euros are those least likely to give 3 Euros never mind 300 Euros And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living. It's almost as though, some of the stories in the bible, whilst not proven original literal historical fact, might be trying to give us some sort of general code to live by that would overall improve things for people. It's such a shame we can't filter the ones which are still relevant and ignore the ones which were more relevant to one time and place.
  2. pfff I've got underpants older than that.

  9. I've had a close up gynaecological look at a womans bits whilst she's cumming . Fascinating. Wish I'd videoed it and this is why Rob isn't allowed in Coventry central library anymore
  10. I like the idea of boots on the ground across north africa, across Iraq, through Syria and up to the borders of Turkey and Iran in order to finally bring this to a definitive conclusion. After all, it worked so well in Afghanistan.
  11. the fact that she's using the phone to talk suggests she is from the past be very careful there could be all manner of poorly written robots with contradictory back stories come to kill you save you take you back forward
  12. ok, I don't mean to hijack the thread.......but look at this! A 1977 amp, still wonderfully fresh in its original box, original polystyrene and original instructions. That amp, a tee shirt and a few other little bits n bobs including original literature for my turntable came to £80 and included a PAT test and 6 month guarantee on the amp. I have to give a really really special shout out to Steve from Hifi Hangar he is running a hell of a shop! Scroll down the page of his website to see the tall Eminent Technology speakers - click on the learn more link, he's currently got them set up in the 'modern' room (there's also a retro 70's room) and the sound is just ridiculous. I just laughed at the sounds coming off old records on an old stereo, it is an experience to sit in there. I even enjoyed Jethro bloody Tull.
  13. Swindon, Reading, Clapham for me today - Rochester, Sheppey tomorrow. I've warned them all that tomorrow I'll start as early as they want, they want me on a roof at 6:30am, I'll be there, but regardless what stage any meeting is at, I'm leaving at 12 noon. I have no intention of trying to use the M25 after lunch on a Friday in July.
  14. it was the phrase 'designer of new airport' that upset me the most closely followed by a deep concern for that combination of signal and battery yeah, I'm disinclined to bother believing most of what the media has to say about North Korea
  15. yep, relative humidity Ever noticed on some holidays it can be hot and sunny and everything is really slowed down, but the glistening diamond drops of water from the outside of your oversized glass holding your sparkling drink roll slowly to the base and form a ring of condensation spelling out the letter C, then that mark just sits there, sits there for ages, from your drink, it stays sat on the table for ages - that's drugs that is, ease up.
  16. back everyone! back! Dave's sausage is approaching room temperature
  17. If only Rob was on line. I'm sure he could use his age and experience to offer you some carefully considered advice on dealing with awkward female Clients.

    Greece

yes it does look like Greece blinked first at the moment Tsipras trying to restart talks and Germany putting him on divert to voicemail until after the referendum, which by all accounts fails international standards on how to hold a referendum. If ze Germans have been watching the news, they can see that a 'win' for Tsipras on Sunday is far from certain, so potentially he has to come back to the table on Monday having lost the backing of the people. Which potentially, could see him stand down I guess, and give the first set of suits another turn at pretending to run the country.
  19. unreliable witness! I put it to you that orange was......a russet apple!
  20. Yep, and I can agree with that point entirely. From the Stanley Milgram experiment, to Cambodia's year zero, salem witch hunts, nazism, catholic inquisitions right up to today's latest gruesome incarnation some how 'ordinary' people can be persuaded to be monsters. We are an odd bunch.
  21. That doesn't really stand up to much scrutiny does it? Good people have never done evil due to betrayal, or love, or lust, or economics, politics, flags, land, oil, or mental illness, or lies, or booze, or drugs or any one of another million reasons? Or perhaps you think that anyone that acts out of character out of desperation was evil all along, just biding their time? Come on, there are stronger arguments than that against 'god'.
  22. me too then a day later I'm wasting hours trying to flush the little polystyrene tray
