  1. They need to buddy up with another office to get you wc facilities you can share and they need to get down to Greggs or wherever and buy up all the bottled water they can find. If they can't sort that out fairly quickly, it's abandon ship!
  2. I live at the top of a hill overlooking the coast. I can confirm that last night was quite breezy. Not Taiwan breezy, but more than enough for me. No sleep between 2:30am and 4:30am then up for work at 6:00, so it's a bit of a black coffee zombie day for me today.
  3. I quite like the look of some of the small cars out and around at the moment. The 108, Skoda Citigo, Smart For Four. If you're doing mostly commuter traffic and urban running around they are a no brainer. How much is one of those? Less than £9k? Probably close to being disposable compared with the depreciation over 3 years on something bigger. I did four consecutive days of town commuting last week, averaged about an hour for a 12 mile drive. If that became a regular thing I'd probably switch to a scooter in the better weather. Can't get away with anything smaller than an estate at the moment, but would happily 'drop down' to a city car when that becomes the sort of driving I'm doing.
  4. I've installed a solar security light. It works surprisingly well and doesn't need a connection to the mains which was really handy. It's on a PIR sensor and is surprisingly bright. Chuffed with it. Screwfix, £30. It did work really well. Until the crow that lives in the tree across the lane decided to make it part of his daily routine to turn the solar panel over. I suppose it makes a nice change for him, dicking about with my security light. He spends most of his time fighting his own reflection in my neighbours garage window or dropping random stuff in my pond. How 'first world problems' am I !!!
  5. rebel yell So, I was perusing the posters and placards of the 1930's Socialist Arts Collective (I know, who doesn't!), when I saw this one.
  6. well here's two without even trying
  7. trains man the **** up, what are you all? secretaries and shop girls?
  8. I know what you meant - that was the best I could do with what I had on my phone. There's one person on my twitter feed, used to post perfectly good shots most days of the weather off the coast. A bit of tree line, a sea horizon and clouds. Straight photo, lovely. For some reason she's now spicing it up with every **** trick her new **** software allows AND putting little **** clangers or moomin figures in the shot. She's one moomin looking at a plate of toast from being unfollowed. Sorry mum, but that's how it is.
  9. @tarjei took this one on Saturday night, Borderline Manette Street, Soho, just thought I'd share.....enjoy! didn't put it in the gig thread as I was embarassed
  10. Personally I wouldn't bother replacing the manager if / when he's gone. The players earn enough to organise themselves. I'd spend the money on some more suits in the boardroom. Nigel Kennedy's mum and that bloke Wilson from Castaway are obvious candidates.
  11. I've been known to have a burger from Five Guys, but only when it's on an expenses trip out. Too pricey for 'just a burger' for spending my own money.
  12. I did actually start an Island Noir novel, but spent more time working out the sound track for the film rights. Starts with a murder (obviously). All you get is a close up panning shot of male legs, in grey suit trousers and sensible black shoes being dragged across a high shine pristine white tiled kitchen floor. Pristine other than the copious bright red blood trail the body dragging is creating. Like a mop, through letterbox red paint. This, whilst 'Amo Solo Te' by Caterina Valente is playing. There'll need to be some basic end credit thanks to Xann there. The vicar would be played by Ruge, and Useless would be a celebrity chef with an addiction to poppers. Tony gets to shag a cross dresser, and kind of knows it before he even gets started. Yeah, easily distracted....
  13. If only Ed had eaten a useless sandwich, things could have been so different.
  14. extravagant! all you've got is a **** plate, and given the way this has gone, I suspect that's actually a piece of wood, and I suspect that's still in the tree, which presumably you haven't planted yet as you don't like disturbing the earth
  15. any excuse for another play of this
  16. so, just plain bacon? would you cook that, or just go straight off the pig?
  17. Atlantic Cafe down the dock behind a couple of lock ups. Best full breakfast, best bacon sandwiches. As for butter, or sauce, or lubricant. you get what you're given, sit down shut up they'll bring it over when they're ready.
  18. yeah, probably banned by europe too, the belgian bastards
  19. Yep, techno viking, the longer version on youtube is still worth a watch once in a while. **this is not a pop at rules Limpid and the mods (shit band) have to constantly try and watch for, just an observation: The techno viking gif is, I think, completely ok with the rules you can see by following the links. But it's a bloke with more skin than clothing showing and doing a bit of a dance. I suspect, that if that was a female, in a bikini top, so therefore more covered / less skin then it would not be acceptable to some advertisers. Not the fault of VT, just fascinating, the world we live in.
  20. It's a real problem for Randy. He has to keep employing new Krulaks to give the message that 'we' are all hurting and behind the scenes things are changing for the better and nobody feels it more than Randy and previous managers left us in a mess. I guess we'll eventually get to a point where he has to hire another stuffed suit to trim down the number of apologist stuffed suits he's hired.
  21. That's borderline post on poster. If Rob chooses to report you for calling his music utter shite, you've only got yourself to blame.
  22. If we're starting again, then let's go back to the start. Originally posted by some bloke called Tim Berners Lee, 2nd January 1990
  23. tea is just coffee, but for poofs
