  1. I'm a big fan of the M25 Lane 1 is lorries and scared pensioners in Nissan Micras doing 56mph Lane 4 is vans and BMW's doing 58mph Lanes 2 and 3 are mostly me doing illegals Its populist crap to divert attention for a day or two.
  2. Table of Morrisons Supermarkets people currently sat opposite me in the hotel lounge. The biggest tool of the bunch is a woman really really letting her side down by clearly feeling the need to 'out man the men'. She believes they should outsource as much labour as possible throughout the whole industry to keep it flexible and keep people keen - yeah, that'll stop those rich bastards packing spuds or hovering over the self service tills getting above themselves. Then, having tried to work out ways of getting more competition in the labour market she has started a conversation about cars. She has an Audi A3 (I would have guessed A4 from her personality but there you go). She's just laughed and sympathised with a guy who only got the word 'Skoda' out before she cut across him. What an absolutely horrible tool of a woman. Conversation is developing as I write it up! Doesn't believe in commissioning engineers it turns out. No, if people built it right in the first place it (whatever it is) wouldn't need commissioning. She's clearly deeply knowledgable. The four guys are being disappointingly subservient. The one guy announced he had a 3008, she told him that was a Renault and he nodded rather than correct her. I'm off upstairs for some self abuse.

unless you can post proof of your expertise in both these areas I'm not sure you are qualified to say that yeah, I'm the same with the aggressively gay community. It's not until you've had a hot gun and shot a man that your opinion is truly valid.

If this was the Bollitics thread that would be the equivalent of saying David Cameron is leader of the BNP (or whatever) i.e. all politicians are the same / all drugs are the same. You're better than lazy generalisations like that Tone. Not really sure what you are saying here ?? It's a true story , of course the drugs in his system could have just been a coincidence and he could have fallen off the balcony , but somehow I doubt it I'm saying that all drugs are different. You can't just say "he was on coke or whatever", as coke wouldn't make someone think they could fly. All drugs have different effects on the body and mind and as such should be treated differently, by users and in the eyes of the law. got ya ... I think possibly you are being a bit "pedant " in this instance though I put " coke (or whatever) " as I wasn't actually there that night and don't know his exact reasons or what he took .... I just went for the R Kelly version of events as an explanation ... but it could just have easily been that whatever he had taken aggravated suicidal tendencies within him and he jumped ( I believe that can be a side effect of coke ? ) Ok the more experienced / enlightened / foolhardy (delete as appropriate) VT'ers can pick holes based on their knowledge of said drug ... I have no experience in these areas of what they do or don't make you do ... and no real desire to find out ... Apart from a brief encounter of sniffing Amyl nitrite in the toilets of a nightclub in Uxbridge with Pogo Patterson and Zammo Maguire whilst singing "Just say no" in my late teens I think your opinion would hold more weight for the rest of us if it was coming from a position of knowledge, rather than it being based on a Chinese whispers style anecdote you heard once. yeah, I'm the same with gun law. It's not until you've had a gun and shot a man that your opinion is truly valid.

Right then, an actual day in the actual office today. To prove I'm no addict, I'm staying off VT until this evening, because I can give this shit up anytime I so choose.
  10. It's already in the bargain basket at Tesco's for 99p. I tried to buy a copy at the self serve till at Tesco in West Brom. It just kept saying unidentified item in Baggies area. I'll get my coat.
  11. There are a couple of blokes I meet via work every now and again and every time we go to shake hands it all gets very briefly weird and mixed up. By coincidence, each of the confusing handshake guys is management level in building firms. So I presume it's some sort of masons thing. Either that or I'm missing out big time on the gay swingers scene.
  12. Wouldn't it be funny if it turned out Morpheus and Snowychap are actually neighbours....
  13. I'd have to confess that back in the day I was very much a creature of my time. The older lads in school, the sixth formers, would have the names of bands written on their bags and satchels. Invariably the bands would all be similar (similar to me), they would be Camel, Rush, Yes, Floyd etc.. Which in my opinion, back then, was laughably shite and out of date. These guys were only a couple of years older than us and their taste was so out of time, they liked the same bands as my dad! I mean, they liked Queen! Queen! We seriously thought these people were sooo stupid. We would make their life a misery on the school bus (we substantially outnumbered them even if they were bigger and hairyer than us). To this day (not unlike the Weller story above), I simply wouldn't listen to that sort of stuff as I presume Rush to be shite. I wouldn't know a Rush song from a Barry Manilow song, I think they had an album called 2020 or 2112 or something like that, but I'm not clicking play on Levi's youtube link. It's a bit pathetic, and I have softened in recent years. i will now listen to Tangerine Dream. But its a bizzarely slow process. I have absolutely no desire at all to listen to Eno or Genesis. To my knowledge I've never heard a single piece of music by Rick Wakeman. There's time, I'm sure I'll get around to it.

In my, admittedly limited experience, people on cocaine think they are the life and soul and think they can talk about anything. The reality is that unless you are with a crowd of other people under the same illusion you can actually come over as a bit of a nob that's clearly taken something and is talking bollocks whilst raving to lift music. Went to a gig fairly recently where one of the guys I was with was dancing like a loon and shouting shite whilst the background music was on and the lights were still up! Entertaining for about 10 minutes then very very tiresome.
  16. yes it was! but to be honest, I love to hate them if you know what I mean, I used to love the trips up to Bangor and the mild banter that would entail. Nothing would please me more than to be back in a position where we go up against Bangor again. You just don't get the same buzz for a game against TNS. Were you, by any chance, there for the infamous Abi Baruwa (goalkeeper) incident? That was pretty intense.

I know quite a few people that go for a pint or two at 7am, after work. Its no different to finishing work at 5pm and going to the pub for a couple of pints. You really shouldn't judge people by your own lifestyle. Before 24 hour drinking there were always pubs that opened at about 6am around the wholesale markets to serve people finishing work who wanted a few jars before going to bed. pah! beat me to it. Time of day / day of week kinda presumes everybody is living to your particular diary. Though to be fair, the pound fifty a pint Wetherspoon hardcore supporter is rarely in employment.
  19. Should have reported him just for a laugh I only need a cheap one, its not for me, it's to go over your mum's head whilst I bang her shitless. And a packet of mints please.
  20. Oh but they are If you have to listen to that then I guess that makes you a UWIC fan I've been to a couple of UWIC games! I've also followed the old Inter Cardiff (CableTel) on an away game in the UEFA Cup. But it's really all about: http://forzabarry.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/the-case-for-barry-town-united.html

I drink a little bit, I've had one bottle of Tiger lager this evening after a full day of digging an allotment. The last time I had a drink was a couple of weeks ago I think. Other than that, I think I'm a fairly vanilla kind of person at present. I'm going to a couple of gigs later in the month, one in particular will be pretty drugs heavy. But the odd thing is, I'll be down the front doing my dad dancing right next to spaced out hippy pensioner guy. He's burnt out, I'm happy to be there and we'll be having the most fun. Behind us, lots of people waiting for their shit to kick in so they can feel everything. Bollocks boys, just loosen up and enjoy it. It's the sort of venue where they did start spraying WD40 on the flat surfaces in the men's, but people moaned to the staff so they've stopped doing it! In the dim and distant past I had a little dabble. Quite fun, not worth the hassle of having to socialise with nobbers though. To be honest, if I could break my chocolate and / or my bread and / or my diet Pepsi habit I'd be a lot happier. I'm not really pro drug or anti drug, I'm sort of ambivalent if and where it's not adversley impacting on others. A bit like my attitude to gay marriage and sci fi conventions.
