take a decent but discreet razor with you, if she really is Portugese you'll be hard pressed finding your way in or out of there
....
aw see, top of the page, the momentum's lost
They had a parade of economists, accountants, housing specialists, finance specialist all lined up on R4 the other evening saying the Help to Buy Scheme was a barmy crock of shit that would create a new house price bubble by putting demand yet further ahead of supply. The only person willing to defend it was......an estate agent.
I have to put a special shout out for Cardiff City.
Now, Cardiff are nowhere near my fave team, they wouldn't make my top 20. They do appear to have a higher than normal quota of fucktards that follow them.........but.
Next Saturday they are playing away in a friendly against a team that doesn't currently have a league affiliation, and they have promised to field a decent team including their new signings from Slovakia and Slovenia. So weeks before the start of their first Prem season they are putting out a strong team against a no league (not non league, no league) team that by default will have quite interesting insurance coverage.
It should raise around £10k to help with legal fees to get back into a league and thus celebrate our 100 year anniversary.
I think religion and politics are quite intertwined.
I wouldn't have said Stalinism, Maoism or Nazism were overtly religious in the usual traditional sense, though they did pick up zealous converts. But between the three of them I think they rattled up quite a decent death total.
Jack Straw was on a radio talk show on R4 last week. With ref to Brown, he said he regretted that period and even though he had helped run Gordon Brown's campaign he didn't believe any of them had realised just how 'broken' a character Brown was. Their first realisation was the first cabinet meeting of Brown which went on for hours, saw everyone blamed for something and resolved nothing. He was described as a man convinced the rest of the world was out to get him and incapable of conclusively making any definitive decision on anything until after the event and then reinventing facts to suit.
talking head and 'monarchy historian and expert' on the news:
'The fact that it is a boy is very very significant, that can't be over played. Although it would have been equally significant if it had been a girl'
calm the **** down, take a breather, stay rational
anyway, I think that's my personal last on the subject of the baby, best of luck to them
well the mystery of the giant Christmas tree and lights appearing in the town centre has been solved
they are currently filming a Christmas edition of Casualty!
good to get such an important show in the can in, er, July
Primary school teaching seems like a piss easy job to be honest with the amount of time they get off and the kids seem pleasant enough at that age. Secondary school is something else though.
it was just a little in joke for Stef
teaching is a brilliant and important job
