  2. there you go, all been said above I take the fact that such an obvious measure of public mood isn't incorporated into the voting slips is tacit acknowledgement by the powers that be that they know it wouldn't look good for them. It would also undermine the coming tax rise so we can directly fund their grubby little clubs. At present, if all parties want us to fund them, and we vote one of them in, we voted to directly give them a cut of our earnings via whatever tax they choose to levy. You will not be allowed to opt out of funding political parties as 'the people' will have voted for it by voting for any of them. To be fair, it's a great business if you can get into it. You can't really blame people for spotting a soft route to money and influence.

  8. oh yes Have to say, the wifey has put a lot of effort into the nippers' education - it's felt like I've mostly been an absent dad, earning the money to pay for the rewards. (I left school slightly surprised it was all over, with O level Art, O level English Lang, CSE Commerce)

  17. I just set mine so that the rear view mirror vibrates and pulsates and makes the world behind me slightly fuzzy. A happy side effect is that it also alerts me that I've left coins in the central executive tray. That is the correct volume.

  20. I have designed a few drive through banks and cash dispensers in the past. About 5 or 6 years ago one of the banks was going to roll them out on redundant petrol station sites. Then something or other happened that involved the banks about 5 years ago and the idea was iced.
