  1. £2.40 with about a litre of tomato sauce on it and to be fair about £3 worth of bacon so great value, glad I asked for a little bit of sauce, they'd have had to serve it in a bucket if I'd asked for lots of sauce. No fatalities apparently (from the crash, not the roadside grub), which is excellent news. They actually closed both bridges at the time, but the one was just to give exclusive use to emergency services I think, which was a very good idea.
  2. Hi ! from me here not quite on Sheppey because there's been a bump. Personally, it meant a morning eating egg and bacon sandwiches at a roadside caff rearranging a day (I'm now in sunny Rochester). But yeah, I know a couple of people that were in that (and walked back home).
  3. I think it's not a straight forward suicide. I think there may be a tactic in the background whereby Ed M thinks if he can shake out the Labour funding problems, i.e. people not wanting to or not realising they are paying 3p a week to be a Labour member, then he can throw stones at the Tory Greenhouse. It's a thin plan, but I hope that is the plan. As opposed to simply winding down the Labour party as he'd realised they were just another flavour of shit, as opposed to an alternative to shit.
  4. the girl central to the picture has a show called i-Carly on some american kids channel it's essentially 20 minutes of her shouting very fast dialogue in a very high pitched voice it is not my favourite show

    Syria

I haven't seen anyone that thinks it's just Syrians fighting. In fact, use of terms like Syria and Iran probably indicate why many in the West clearly still don't understand what the hell is going on. Many years ago a bunch of europeans divvied up a chunk of the world into nation states without really understanding how it all worked out there. Now, a hundred years or so later, the descendants of those europeans are watching a hell of a bitch fight, haven't got a clue who started or what it's about and certainly don't know for sure which spectators will get involved if we try and step in and sort it out 'again'. Yet feel strangely compelled to get stuck into the middle of it anyway to make sure everybody knows they are still in charge. Let's use the money we'd spend on bombing and policing for 10 years on jobs in alternative fuels research.
  6. I believe it's non league football day this coming Saturday
  7. yeah good luck on the career mate, be brilliant there'll be an inset day along soon enough to get some shopping done ;-)
  8. it is a strange game they are playing, I'm sure there is a great brain somewhere with a master plan whereby it ends with us funding the parties state sponsoring of the political classes is a stinking idea but we might get to a point where we have to hold our noses in other news...Lib Dems are having their Autumn Conference in Glasgow, apparently they haven't been able to sell a single business / trade stand at the event
  9. international profile victimised by terrorists for wanting to be educated treated and nursed back to health in the UK Noddy Holder was busy
  10. 28 year sentence for me so far and no sign of parole, loved every day of it.
  11. congrats, best of luck with that one (personally I'd have waited for the answer before telling a footy forum - you may potentially have to save face by pretending to get married now) my tip, don't put too much pressure on yourself once you're married and you have sexual relations for the first time, let it happen in its own good time
  12. does the Daily Mail site still have lots of long lense photo's of women and girls in bikinis down the one side and articles about stiffer penalties for sex pests down the other side?
  13. man down man down I think we have a man down somebody needs to check on big Levi
  14. been the longest summer for quite some years here really hot again today, been trying to work out the garden, but mostly I've been sat on the lawn thinking how lovely and hot it is
  15. fingers crossed he gets the right news
  16. ....whilst on the subject of nature.... we have new baby fish in our pond, just spotted 5 or 6 of the little things, clearly a good summer for fish love
  17. Really? I've seen more at the end of this some than in recent memory. I did comment earlier in the year that wasp numbers seem to be dwindling but they've been out in force of late. Yep. West Yorkshire. I've seen maybe three or four, but that's all. to be fair, they do generally like nice weather and counties where humans can sit outside and consume jam without getting chilblains

    Drugs

If this venture involves you stumping up the cash to buy a DC 4 and being the face of Tarjei International Trade Serices and him organising the warehousing and loading, I'd give it a swerve.
  19. as a lapsed vegetarian, brocolli farts are indeed a superpower that in the wrong hands.....
  20. I'd love it to be a breakthrough but the journalist's take on it is obviously simplified. You get a biscuit tin sized box with some inexpensive magic in it, you emit radio waves close to a hosepipe and: vegetables are disease free vegetables are 30% bigger GM products are obsolete Africa eats global warming is reversed pesticides are redundant fertiliser isn't needed if it is true, Monsanto would already have had him 'disappeared'
  21. no no it's true, if nasa hadn't spunked billions pretending to go to the moon I wouldn't have a pen that can write upside down
  22. hmmm when something sounds too good to be true......
  23. there is a chance Ireland will use this reconnection with Hughes to prove to the world it was us not him best of luck to him if he does, because the alternative is to be a once rich man, broke at the age of 55 trying to do the matchday dining circuit, but with nobody wanting him on their table
