  3. I have purchased a new angle grinder. I suspect that by teatime I'll be wandering around the garage and shed indiscriminately grinding things off (oooer missus). I am master of the universe, certainly everything within 2 metres of a power point anyway.

The same sentiment as above, I don't mean to be glib but we cannot tell who was a rebel / terrorist / freedom fighter etc yet as there hasn't been a 'winner' and so the definitive story of the winner hasn't been composed yet. With a list of the other sides crimes and a list of the winning side's justifications. War and civil war is, unfortunately, about as cliched a situation as its possible to get.

Sounds very clever to fellow liberal left wingers. To those affected by actual terrorist atrocities, from the bombing of Manchester Arndale Centre, to the London tube bombs, or even the nailbombing of Brixton Tube or the Admiral Duncan, is sounds glib, shallow, smug and ill informed. And I declare I am usually a liberal left winger, and this post left a rather unpleasant taste in my mouth. If your allowed free speech to say such thoughtless things, I am free to signal the crass, sweeping nature of a rather daft soundbite. The people of Chile say hi! As do the Mujahideen

slightly odd moment on Newsnight The Russian spokesapologist asked Emily Maitliss why they kept mentioning the 3 'proof' documents that said Assad did it but wouldn't ever mention the 100 page document on the rebels use of CW in Alepo. The question / statement just didn't get a response, she just turned to the other guest and asked the next question. I'm not suggesting EM is part of any conspiracy, she just clearly didn't have a response.

  21. On the culinary hot spots of Kent that do lend themselves to the yawn / stretch / fart end of the market. Best is the burger van with a semi permanent pitch outside Rochester airport - few pleasures in life greater than sitting in a plastic patio chair on the pavement with a bacon roll watching some clearing in the woods trying to land a microlight in a crosswind (not my crosswind). Second best is Mickey's Cafe, half way between Maidstone and Rochester which does all the variations of builder breakfast all day and lets us push the tables together for pre meeting meetings. If you're ok with a bit of dried egg on your fork from the last punter, the food is great.
  22. I have been keeping close tabs on this all day as this has happened in the area that I cover so I am going to be pretty damn busy over the next few days (I will potentially have to deal with all of the vehicles that are covered by the direct line group) I think I've hurt my neck now I come to think of it.
