No great diversions, I sometimes allow myself a street or two, a mile or two if there is a sign for an abbey or a canal or whatnot. Usually however, like today, it has to be visible from the road I was on, on the way to do my thing. The Sorrento trip at £630 for what is a long weekend also covers a trip to the volcano and Pompei and a boat trip up the coast. So there are trips out. But out of curiosity I did go on Expedia, the same week I can book a half decent modern hotel and flights for a family of 4 for £600.

I can't say I've got strong feelings one way or the other on the badgers, I'm inclined to leave them the furk alone if I'm pushed. But this whole thing has been so poorly handled. I was listening to some govt apologist insisting we had to cull 60% of badgers, when asked how many that was he said he couldn't say, as we didn't know how many there were in total. A properly shocking lack of self awareness, of logical thinking or of basic maths.
