oldest grave found today......1730
funkiest grave found today......
1837 would ordinarily be too new to be considered for my weird collection of grave photos - but wrought iron! never seen that before
and for 1837 that's a very art deco winged medusa head
given the obvious symbolism of gravestones, what on earth would the story of Medusa signify back in 1837?
so, a drunk bloke turned up to see your mum, you were there, so he's gone
was there no way you couldn't have gone down the shops for 30 minutes or something?
This is a constituency that was won a few years ago (1992) by exactly the same margin as the number of tory ex pat postal votes that were received from Spain (19). So it's not some 'x' party stronghold where a few dozen or a few hundred votes is academic. In 2010, it was won by 4,000 votes - over 12,000 people voted for 'minority' parties other than the usual 2.
Traditionally we vote for the opposition here, with red and blue often getting 10,000 majorities, only to be booted out next time.
So, None Of The Above as an option here would be really revealing and could most definitely impact as a change of result. Which could only be a good thing if it made them all up their game or prompted a local figure to stand as a working independent.
or
tell them you think you probably agree with them, if you were to vote at all
as the election gets closer you'll get more and more of their time, everytime, incrementally, you say that you are probably even more sure you won't be voting for the other lot
election day, when they phone, you say you would vote for them but you've twisted your knee
then
when the free lift from their grass roots activists turns up THEN you give them what the **** **** for
I was involved in a building contract in Libya that had Algerian plasterers and renderers (!)
When one fell from a flat roof and was killed, the official report basically said 'you should be more careful if you're going to work on a roof, but at least he was earning top dollar for a while'.
See, I couldn't hack that, ok maybe a long weekend, a week absolute tops. But that middle of nowhere thing with just **** countryside to look at isn't for me. I'm amazed more farmers and country types don't go on shooting sprees.
I'm very much a townie.
Trees, hedges and grass, eeesh
yeah, but, you know, if we don't support the corrupt mental military thugs in Egypt with their Aids cure and mass death penalties, then the nutters will get back in power.
I can't work them out, likes.
I write something compassionate and artful with a nod to modern culture that shows my feminist credentials whilst name checking an obscure 1970's synth band - nothing.
But a throw away line about nipples or poop or throwing up over my mum and boom! I get a little star.
It's as though your average Villa fan on a footy based messageboard that doesn't actually like venturing into the footy threads is mentally no more developed than a 12 year old wanking cretin.
yes that's right, I'm a smack head with a monobrow and a scouse accent trying to sell you your own laptop and bike
nah, sophisticated southerner really, sat on the sand with a double espresso and a twix
I can see the sea from my bedroom window, walking distance from the coast, sandy beaches, rocky beaches, pebble beaches, walking distance from a country park, 15 minutes from the centre of a city, 10 minutes walk to a train station, 15 minute drive to the motorway, I can see a 7-11 Sainsbury a pub and a takeaway down the far end of my street.
Quite like my gaff to be honest.
as tea isn't as nice as coffee, I'll stay out of this debate on the best prep of a second rate drink
but amongst the milk users, is there a general rule on the type of milk?
I'm quite partial to a semi....
